This blog will be linked in the next Dash's New Mom chapter in order to maximize the amount of exposure. My apologies if some of this seems redundant from my previous blog post.
Anyway... here we go.
A while ago, I participated in TwilightClopple's Story Swap and because of it, wrote Spitfire's New Record, a completely silly clopfic that was actually my first published Human in Equestria fic. I'm aware that the Gallifreyan is not a human, but he was a humanoid, and that was close enough for me. Anyway... the fic that I had TwilightClopple write was something that I really wanted to see. I felt like her conveyance of my topic was going to be beautiful, amazing, and most of all, enjoyable to read. While the story has not come out yet, I'm sure that Clopple is going to deliver soon enough. I was invested, I wanted to see that story, and now, despite my personal belief that I am not qualified to deliver, I wish to share these emotions with you.
I have over 36 stories outlined and waiting to be written, along with the numerous stories deep in the bowels of my profile that need to be either rewritten or completed. Not to sound depressing, but I'm going to be stuck with these stories, good or not, until I finish them. I'd like to see a different story idea than the ones that I have in my secret Google Doc. Perhaps some of you have some that you wish to see but are unable to convey? I can help with that, if you wish.
I wish that I was versed enough in writing to where I can offer my writing talents as commissions (I've been poor since I was born and am currently unemployed), but I feel like that would be cheating my readers and the few that would pay me. The quality of my stories varies, and I do not want to possibly sell a "bad" story. Because of this, I offer the swap.
One more thing before I dictate the rules. I have a feeling that up until this point, a lot of possible people (ponies?) that would have wanted to take part in this have probably quit because they think that their writing isn't good enough. I'll say it right here. I do not care about whether or not the story (that you write for me) is perfect. What I want, is simply a story. And in return, I will give you a story. It's that simple. If this is the thing that will get you into the writing game, then I will be perfectly happy with that. After all, it was Noble Cause's NaNoPoWriMo that made me get into writing pony fiction in the first place, and I will never forget that.
How the Swap Works:
It's simple. Just send me a private message on Fimfiction with the subject title, "Story Swap". Feel free to engage in small talk, but I want to at least have the following information:
The idea that you want me to write. It can be completely outlined from start to end, or just a simple sentence. What kind of fic will it be? Dark? Sad? Shipfic? Clopfic? Yes, I will do a clopfic if you ask. Which characters will be in it? Any additional information would be appreciated.
In return, I will give you my idea. They will all be different, probably, depending on how many bites I get.
Note: I reserve the right to change the idea that is provided if I feel that the story will not create a good reading experience (boring or otherwise). I will be running every idea by a few prereaders of mine to make sure that it can work as a story. If I feel that the idea does not work, we can talk it out. I will not do anything without the one who provides the idea's permission. However, if you wish me to leave you in the dark about the story, then please tell me so. Communication is key.
The story that you provide to me will be read and I will provide a comment with honest critique and my feelings about the story after having finished it. If you want, I will also go through the story with my prereaders and point out any possible syntax problems (to the best of my ability) and give them to you so that your writing (if you decide to continue) can improve (if it needs to).
It's that simple.
Stipulations of the Swap:
I am going to have only a small amount of rules for the swap. They are as follows:
1. I will not write a fiction based on an OC that I do not completely know. Ask in advance if the story is going to have a not well known OC. I don't read that much fan fiction, so chances are, I won't know the OC.
2. I will write a continuation or additional chapter of a fiction that I have not finished yet. However, it will only constitute one chapter, or a rewrite, if I feel that the beginning is so flawed that the best I could do is rewrite the story completely. I will not change the story's idea based on the asker. I will just rewrite it in my (slightly?) more adept writing style than when I started in August.
3. I will write a clopfic if that's the idea.
4. The story that I will write will not be longer than 10k words (unless I completely LOVE the idea), but this standard is not kept for you. If you want to turn my story idea into a novel, go ahead, just make sure to credit me for the idea.
5. You may reject my idea too, if you wish. However, I'll only give one other different idea. If you won't do that one either, then we cannot do a story swap.
6. I reserve the right as fiction to send the stories into any possible feature sites (EQD, EQAD) to further publicize myself.
7. If I get more than 20 bites on this story swap, then I will do the swaps in order of PMs given to me. I will be well organized with this swap, so there will be no worries about me losing ideas or track of the stories.
8. The deadline for sending in the stories to me (via PM on fimfiction) will be September 12th, my birthday. This will also be the day where (hopefully?) I can publish every story idea that was given to me at once. Consider it to be a smorgasbord of stories, courtesy of Yours Truly for not only NaNoPoWriMo, but my own literary practice. If you feel that you cannot complete the story by then, please send me a PM.

This might just be what I need to get into writing, I guess I'll give it a shot.
I have had this in my bookmarks for a while now. Kinda wanted to respond, but just been so busy I don't know how much time I'd have to write. Out of curiosity, how many responses have you gotten? Is there a point to me keeping this in my bookmarks or are you thinking "No more, I have enough!" or something similar?
