Hello there from the country that holds the record for "Highest Kill Streak of the previous 100 years"!
A few weeks ago I've posted a story called Rainbow Dash analyzes The Bible, which was pretty much 3.5k words of hate preach against religion disguised as fan fiction. I couldn't care less about the reactions, as they were obvious from the second I opened my text editor. It was mostly a test for myself to see how I could handle the basics of writing.
After that I've decided to get involved with editing. In the past few days and weeks I've been doing lots of editing for well known authors (such as Kaidan, RainbowBob, and the parasprite).
With the knowledge I've developed from that story and the editing I've done, I've decided to give writing another shot after I came up with an interesting concept. The only difference this time is that I actually wanted to create an actual story and not a miserable piece of hate comedy.
It's called Organized Agony and is a pseudo-adaption of the album 'Agony' by Fleshgod Apocalypse, one of my most favorite death metal bands. Dark, Tragedy, Adventure, Teen, Gore.
The outline of the story was finished before I even started to develop a plot. It will feature 8 chapters plus prologue and epilogue. All names were taken straight from the album's track listing:
Prologue: Temptation
1. The Hypocrisy
2. The Imposition
3. The Deceit
4. The Violation
5. The Egoism
6. The Betrayal
7. The Forsaking
8. The Oppression
Epilogue: Agony
So far, all I've finished is a very rough draft of the prologue. I don't want it to be the next best thing since woodruff flavored ice cream, but at least I want it to be somewhat polished before I submit it.
To accomplish that, I was wondering if YOU could help me! All I need is a pre-reader who's willing to get in touch with a newbie at writing. Nothing too special, just quickly going over the prologue (which is currently at 2.8K words) and giving unbiased and non-sugar-coated opinions whether it's okay or still needs some work.
