I'm a brony and a Pinkie Pie fan but I like all of the mane six, as well as Spike. I hope to provide some entertaining and interesting fanfics for the Brony community.

    Episode Re-Review: Friendship University

Season 8 returned to the airwaves around August, like always, but the first episode to greet viewers was the absolute disaster that was "A Matter of Principals", in which Discord became the latest character to be completely ruined. And the worst part was he got off scot free for his actions. Things seemed to be better with "The Hearth's Warming Club", which finally let the student/young six hold

    Happy Birthday, Daniel Ingram

Today is Daniel Ingram's birthday. He is the talented composer who gave us the many wonderful songs across FiM's nine seasons, including timeless classics such as "Winter Wrap Up", "Smile Smile Smile", "This Day Aria", "The Pony I Wanna Be", "You're in My Head Like a Catchy Song", and "The Magic of Friendship Grows".

Special Re-Review: Equestria Girls: Rollercoaster of Friendship

Season 8's mid season hiatus couldn't have come at a worser time for it, right on the heels of really bad episodes "Marks for Effort" and "The Mean Six", which were so low quality you have to wonder how they didn't get flagged for obvious writing mistakes or plot holes, and just further seemed to make the School of Friendship look like a bad idea that should not have been greenlit. So many people

    Episode Re-Review: The Mean Six

First and foremost, I want to briefly mention that my account for paid commisssions is up and running. It's CSPB2024. If you could all help spread the word about it, that would be appreciated. Now it's on to the episode proper, though I do briefly want to touch on the controversy surrounding the rumor about A.I. voices for "Make Your Mark" and "Tell Your Tale" that were recently debunked. It's

Princesses Ranking · 9:52pm Jun 23rd, 2013

Well you know the drill by now right? Remember the rankings are my opinion. Don't like em? Make your own.

4. Princess Twilight Sparkle
The only reason she's at the bottom is because we don't know what she's Princess of yet and what sort of Princess she'll be. Chances are she'll rank higher come Season 4. And before you ask no, I have Not seen "Equestria Girls" yet.

3. Princess Luna
Oh I can hear all you Luna fans wining and shouting now. Much like Derpy Luna is sort of a mascot for the Brony fandom but unlike Derpy who's a clean slate because she's a background character Luna suffers from the same problem as Fluttershy. So many people refuse to see any wrong in her and assume we should feel sorry for her. Well you know what yes it's sad what happened to her but it was her own fault, she gave into temptation and she payed the price. Her reapperance in "Luna Eclipsed" made her a bit hammy as well as showcased her anger issues which still seem to plague her to some extent. She had pointless fan service scenes in both "A Canterlot Wedding" and "Crystal Empire" and yet somehow she's more popular then anyone else. It wasn't really until "Sleepless in Ponyville" that she actually served a purpose. Hopefully much like Rainbow Dash she'll continue to grow on me because I'd hate to have her take Twilight's spot next time around. I'l admit I do like the Gamer Luna personality though, especially since it lead to the "Two Best Sisters Play" series.

2. Princess Celestia
First off I don't buy any of that "Trollestia"/"Moletsia"/"Tyrant Celestia" nonsense. I mean what if Luna had a sense of humor as well? Would you hate her for it or would she somehow be the exception to the rule? Unlike Luna everytime Celestia appeared with the exception of "Feeling Pinkie Keen" she served a purpose, whether it be to recieve the moral or to drive the plot. Season 2 saw her actually start doing stuff but before that she had plently of good reasons not to get involved. The two tickets thing? Did you ever think it was a test? The phoneix thing? Well she wasn't expecting Fluttershy to be so concerned and even then she wasn't expecting to be called away by The Mayor of Ponyville. The dragon problem? Well that would be making a mountain out of a molehill since he hadn't intentionally threatend Ponyville yet. For me Princess Celestia's sense of humor is so that she can help her subjects lighten up. I really wish more leaders could strive to be like her. You know act humble, interact with their citizens/subjects, insist on not getting special treatment just for being a higher power, that sort of stuff. That's not to say Luna's anger isn't something rulers shouldn't have, in fact a little anger to back up your words when needed is important, but most of the time it's important to appear more calm and collected. And that is why I like Celestia better then Luna.

1. Princess Cadence
Princess Cadence gets no love and so many people say that she and her husband are throwaway characters. That couldn't be further from the truth if you ask me. Princess Cadence is different from her aunts but did you ever stop to think that not all alicorns are immortal? I mean if Twilight's not going to outlive her friends then chances are Cadence works the same way. Besides Cadence is younger and more cheerful. Yeah sure she may not have as much experience as Princess Celestia or Princess Luna but the joke's on them she's the only one who got married. To anyone who's ever had that perfect babysitter Cadence is easily relatable and even if you can't relate to her you have to at least admire who she's able to run her own empire alongside her husband at such a young age. She does seem to act more like a teenager but in a way she still kind of is. And let's not forget Cadence is the one who taught Twilight to calm down and not freak out over everything that goes wrong. Of course Cadence can also act quite serious when she needs to and that happens fairly often. And her little nursery rhyme/secret hoof shake with Twilgiht always warms my heart.

And there you have it.

Got to call you out on Luna's one there. Oh yes, a fate considerably worse than death, that's "sad", isn't it? Seriously? Of course people feel sorry for her, her life work and special talent wasn't being appreciated, her resentment turned her into Nightmare Moon (which I very much doubt was her ultimate goal) or the nightmare was a separate thing that took control of her through her anger and you're saying a millennium of unimaginably, inconceivably soul-destroying, horrifying psychological torture was her just deserts? I'm afraid I have to disagree with you on that one. That kind of thing would severely fuck you up in the head and I'm surprised anger issues and outdated vocabulary are the only lasting scars.

1163338 I'm saying that everything that happened was because Luna gave into temptation. And what she did as Nightmare Moon would've killed every living thing eventually.

Cadence is number 1!

And I agree with you on Celestia I've always felt she was misunderstood by fans. I think the whole Troll thing started when Twilight panicked about Flutter taking Philomina (don't think I spelled that right) though I've heard it got started because she sent Luna to the moon which I mean come on what was she supposed to do let Nightmare Moon take over? I've always felt Celestia would get involved if needed (as demonstrated in Canterlot wedding) and that she sends the Twilight and the mane six to test them.

1163375 My point still stands. A fate worse than death for an extended night, twice in the span of a thousand years? You can't punish someone for something they're only planning to do. Even if you did, a thousand years of whatever it is she went through is nowhere near fair.

1163392

If night time had lasted forever if nightmare moon had gone through with her plan there would never be any sun and that means no plants could ever grow and since ponies are vegetarians I think you'll agree that would've been a heavy loss.

1163404 Yes, 'if'. Genocide may have been a side-effect but it wasn't her plan. Nightmare Moon's, possibly, but not Luna's.

1163415 But Nightmare Moon only formed because Luna allowed her to. She could've said "No. Forcing my subjects to love my night is not the right thing to do." but she didn't and gave into temptation.

1163428 Her life's work was being ignored, even shunned, by everyone. No-one wanted to know about it, even if not because they disliked the night particularly but because they didn't even consider it. That, I think, was the thing: nopony cared about her, save for her sister. Everyone was saying to her that her special talent, what made her unique, was worthless. Every night when they didn't spare a single glance upwards, they were spitting in Luna's face. Trust me when I say that being made to feel worthless is one of the cruellest things someone can do another. Next up from that is when they're doing so accidentally. These are the reasons I can think of for her for giving in to temptation and refusing to allow the sun up. Even if you were to pin on Luna the idea that she wanted eternal night to kill everything and everything bad she may have done as Nightmare Moon, she didn't deserve what she got. Her punishment was something that no sentient being should have to endure.

1163457 No matter how you slice it Luna was in the wrong. She could've tried any number of things and perhaps with time she would've been able to change the ponies minds but she was young and impatient and thus gave into temptation, demonizing herself and emotionally scaring her elder sister.

1163580 I think we're just going to have to agree to disagree on this one.

My list is the same if you switch place on Tia and Luna.
I find it easy to like Cadence since she has a prominent role in the episodes where she appears. (Save for Season 3 finale)
