So yeah, my dissertation is complete and handed in. I now have nothing to do. Nothing, that is, but write Fanfiction.
But I've got a problem. Everytime I sit down, I get distracted by something else—usually a different story. I have about a dozen projects going on at the moment (all of them ponyfic... I need a life). So I need some direction. Preferably from you, my loyal watchers. So anyway, the ideas:
Something old:
King of Chaos—Twilight, Discord and Pinkie have adventures in this AU fic. Chapter 4 is 3/4 done, but I have lost my thread with it and have to rebuild the last quarter from scratch.
Where Cold Winds Blow—World building in the land of the Reindeer! I haven't started planning for 3 yet. Could be a while before this gets an update.
Fallout: Equestria: Destiny's Slave—Fallout fic with a silightly different main character. Eager to get back to this.
My Little Evangelion—Neon Genesis Evangelion crossover. The next chapter is about half written, and I want to pull this off haitus. Also considering renaming it.
Twilight's Voyage—Ponies IN SPACE! Undergoing rewrites (again), chapter 1 is almost finished.
Something New:
The Royal Sweet Tooth—Luna loves bon bons. Bon Bon loves Luna. LunaBon shipping.
Darkness in the Library—Twilight has always been scared of the dark. Can Nightmare Moon convince her otherwise? (Dark/horror/no gore fic. Considering rewriting what I have already written.)
Predator & Prey—During a normal hunt, Twilight Fang and her lupine friends find themselves transported to a world where everything is eerily similar... with one big difference. Meanwhile, Twilight Sparkle finds herself having to cater for six very familiar carnivores... SoL culture clash fic.
Poines Und Panzer—In order to make friends, (Filly) Twilight Sparkle is ordered to join one of the school's sports team. She chooses tankery. (Inspired by Girls Und Panzer—go watch it, it's hillarious.)
Concealed in the Fog—Muse of Madness sequel. Rarity and Luna are insane. Spike has been abducted by cultists. Strange pages from Luna's journal, found in the oddest of places, warn of an impending threat not even Celestia is aware of. And in the middle of it all is the strange town of Arkham, home of the occult. Can Twilight solve the mystery of the stars, before eldritch forces tear her mind to pieces? And just what is Concealed in the Fog? I finished chapter 1 and was about to post it, before I reallised that I had left out a crucial plot point and now I have no idea how to fit it in.
Once Smitten, Twice Fluttershy—Fluttershy is a kind and gentle creature, able to become friends with anycreature. But what happens when both Princess Luna and Discord want something more than friendship? FlutterLunaCord love triangle. Rom-Com.
Pirates of the Zebracian—When the Braytish Empire declared independence from the Heavenly Aristocracy, they sealed off all access to the Zebracain Isles, trapping Pinkie Pie within their borders. Two years later, Princess Twilight Sparkle finds a wanted poster for a "Priate Captain Pie". Now she must brave the strange seas of the Marelantic to find her friend. Inspired by Pirates of the Caribbean. Not sure if you could tell.
And those are my ideas. Anything sounds good to you?

Seems to me you're right where you want to be. You are free to wander the creative reaches of your mind, writing down whatever strikes your fancy.
Now that being said, whenever I seem to hit that same situation (only for about an hour at a time until the wife discovers some trivial thing that needs done Right Now Get Your Butt Off The Computer And Help Before The Basement Floods!), I become about as unproductive a writer as exists, reading webpages and catching up on Oh God It Took The Writer A Year But They're Finally Done stories.

I nearly posted it a few weeks ago, but as I was proofreading it I was like "Hang on, there is a vital scene missing here..." and now I can't fit it in at all. So that's a tricky puzzle at the moment.
