Celebrating Cloud Kicker Month with a Winningverse Contribution · 6:33am May 29th, 2013
I love me some Winningverse fics, but I've always felt the urge to poke a little bit of fun at them at the same time. The imminent conclusion of Cloud Kicker Month inspired me to wrap up a little parody fic that had languished since February. Now it's finished and off to be approved (for the second time, actually, as I was failed the first time because I'd put the author's notes up top instead of in the box. Oops.)
Presenting The Incredible Rockiness of a Winning Rock. You don't need to have read every single Winningverse fic to enjoy it, but basic familiarity with the setting would go a long way.
This is a pretty hilarious story, and I would heartily recommend it to anyone.

If you follow the link to the Winningverse group from the story page or my user page you can get a more detailed breakdown, but basically it's an alternate season 2 continuity that focuses primarily on Cloud Kicker and her crazy tipsy-turvey banging filled life. It's spawned a dozen or so spinoffs around various side characters as well. While there is more sex and violence than in MLP proper, it's all pretty firmly PG-13 level stuff. Well worth a look, in my opinion.
Hey, I remember this! It's just as funny as I remember it, too. I may have to add the obligatory "Inb4 featured".
Just be careful not to get featurebox cancer. That's especially heartrending.

As it turns out, I was following Eakin before Hard Reset, so in fact I can say I was reading him before it was cool.
I've only been here a year, though. The real big names tend to be the ones who were around at the beginning.
