I am still working on the sequel, and I am making progress. I have gotten... at least 1/2 way done, but not by word count. I will still need an editor if Scintillance can't do it. Otherwise, I am free for now and can continue working. Um... Yeah. I don't have much else to say business wise. Story ideas have stopped flowing for now (or at least good ones that aren't complete **** because they only have either self-inserts or mary sue-esque ideas) so I guess expanding the current ones is the only way to go. Unfortunately, one has a couple of routes that are feasible, but only one can be done, despite wanting to do both without wearing out the idea (like I haven't already worn out a couple ideas). Yeah, now that I think about it, the sequel will be two tags, and will not count as part of the one-tag challenge.) Yeah, trying to avoid breaking the rules, with them technically being a one-tag challenge, but the stories themselves are real.
Alright, more ground rules (if I haven't made them already)
1. No deus ex machina
2. No Self-insert and petty gratification from shipping at the same time (in fact, no petty gratification from shipping an OC and a pony, I still need to work on this)
3. Original ideas only (No HiE where I, anon, or some other person go to equestria against our will blah blah blah, discover we want to stay blah blah blah. No. If, and if, I do such a thing, it will have some twist on it. Like ending up oh I don't know, thousands of years early. Knowing it is Equestria, but there are barely any ponies.) I don't want to post something that already exists, even if under a different veil. If you notice this, tell me, and I will change it for the better (unless it already works)
4. Nothing is sacred (If I can write it, it can go, so long as it doesn't break any rules, further assuming I have the creativity to write it and the heart to live with it)
5. Analysis of canon is key. I will try to keep things analytical and not simply shove it under magic. Sometimes my analysis of canon (when I keep to it) will be 'harsh' or 'unrealistic' like how I don't see a twisted villain in Discord. He is a Spirit of Disharmony. He is not a God of Chaos. No such thing exists. It must be a lord of Chaos, because one being cannot possibly hold all that power. Further, he isn't evil, doesn't want to kill, he only wants his own freedom and to have fun without restrictions. By his rights, he is normal and the ponies are evil for ruining his fun.
If you have any other personal limitations to add to my list, say something in a way I can hear it. Don't yell at the screen for four hours saying I should post more. That doesn't help either of us.
On an unrelated note, the quote of whenever I bother to post them is, "Duty is as heavy as a mountain. Death is as light as a feather"
