The Awakening: The Last Hope · 6:32pm May 12th, 2013
I had literally thought this story up from absolutely nothing. I was sitting there on my couch, having just finished my shower, and I randomly came up with the idea of making a story that involved the destruction of earth. I continued this thought process and I finally came up with 'The Awakening: The Last Hope...
I don't know if it was a good idea or even UNIQUE, but I was sure as hell going to write it.
The purpose of this blog is to answer questions about what may happen and give me ideas. If you are lucky, your idea could be put into words.
Another thing is that I don't know how many chapters a story like this should amount to. I would guess about 20-30 chapters but i can go further and make it into a... show of words; like a season 1, season 2, season 3, etc...
I just want to know your thoughts on this as it is my first sci fi pony fan fic.

The moon has crashed into earth destroying it but only a few ships made it, One ship got damaged and couldn't keep pace so they went into cryo sleep because of the length it would take but the ship took maore damage than expected and went off course and crashed in Equestria. The crash caused the hearth warming eve snow storm.
When the ponies go their old homeland they find the ship but their are only a hand full of survivors. They somehow open a cryopod and the survivor freaks puts on nanoarmor and knocks out the ones in the ship.
.....
They get help from the pony's and send a message out in hopes to reach any surviving humans.

Maybe some zenophobe that thinks all aliens are evil for what happened on earth and takes it out on the pony's. They have to find out who is doing it.

Well, what did you see destroying earth? Invaders from another planet, moon crashing into the world, disease, really vague on that.
Will the ponies co-exist with humans? Are they enemies? There isn't enough information here to really help with.

1083322 This blog is a little old and, honestly I didn't think there was going to be any comments here. Well they do co-exist with each other, and the story has already evolved into the second chapter. Here is the desc if you want info.
An enemy who call themselves the Zargul have all but decimated earth making it unhospitable to any life form, be it man or cockroach. The humans had been fighting these aliens for five decades, hiding the location of their precious homeworld until the Zargul managed to find them. In a desperate attempt to save humanity thirty "arks" (spaceships designed to carry humans a long distance across many galaxies) were sent out and only three had managed to survive. The three arks were scattered and lost among the stars. These ships were called, "Hope's Dawn", "Shining Sentinal", and the ship where our story takes place... the "Leviathon"
-42 years later-
Our story starts off with a young man in his early twenties by the name of John Shepard. He was a sergeant in the space marines army or as we can now call them... the UPGF (The United People of the Galactic Federation)
They had all but lost hope on finding a planet where they could call home until they found a planet that could sustain them and provide for the families cramped up into the tight living spaces of the Leviathon. They later found it be called "Equestria" This is their story...

1083335 After reading that, I first thought that this was a mass effect crossover. After checking out the actual story, I no longer think that.
If you want ideas to prolong the story... that's a bit vague of a topic. There are virtually limitless ways of extending a story. Quick ways are introducing new characters that don't see eye to eye with your main. Another way is introducing other world aspects.
How do you want this to go would be the best question to ask.

One of the ships landed and the Diamond dogs dug underneath and try to pull it under ground because their leader wanted it for something stupid.
Their is some leak from the engine that is interfering with magic and is connecting with human technology.
