    Just Keep Typing...

    Hey Peeps.

Things are still slogging along, in spite of what it may seem.
Unfortunately things may come to a temporary halt for another fair stint.

    Over a Year

It has been over a year since my last chapter was put up.

Does that make me a bad person?

*ducks and cowers from the loud, resounding confirmations*

What if I just posted another chapter and took my fic off its hiatus status? Still a bad guy?

    *ducks thrown objects*

    Time Keeps Marching On

It's that time of year again. Probably time to update something if not my story.

That probably isn't what any of you wanted to hear though, am I right? Yeah admittedly I really wanted to have a new chapter up too. Alas twas not to be!

    The Empire Strikes Back!

Or in this case, the Everfree.

New chapter is up! Hope it was worth the wait. I forewarned it's more dark nature in my last post, but with my editor freshly traumatized, I perhaps need to make another warning here.

Ontario Sucks · 5:03pm Apr 20th, 2013

I love pretty much every province in Canada, they all hold their charm in one way or another. All except southern Ontario anyway, where everyone thinks they're in New York.
Fortunately I'm not in southern Ontario at the moment, I'm more towards the middle. The course is going fairly well so far, learning lots, dumping a lot more, and mostly hanging out with the boys as we go trudging our way down town, forming study groups, or hanging out to enjoy binge watching of Gravity Falls, Adventure Time, the latest reincarnation of Ninja Turtles or what have you. I'm even introducing several of them to a goblin slaying game of D&D. There is nothing more fulfilling than watching the D&D's molding of new minds as they realize swinging that sword or casting that fireball in a head-on encounter will only leave them trampled and dying against a goblin horde.
When noobs realize just how much different the game is from anything else they've ever played, and how much freedom of thought and ideas it encourages. A loose stone here, a useful piece of terrain there, a combination of sneaking, decoys, and a good use of axe and spell that will see them through to another day of dungeon crawling. Besides this it helps that we come from every corner of the country, so the ideas are achieved differently depending on the culture that happens to sit around the table. The military supplies me with a strange and curious combination of people and thoughts, each thinking about which way would be best to snag that magical dagger from the goblin captain in the back of the room.

Oh wait, this is FIMFiction, I guess you want to hear more about up and coming chapters and updates?
Well I can do that too. Chapter 7: Catch the Wind is coming to you this week, mostly depending on when I can get a proofreader to give it a glance through. As fore warned in earlier blog posts it ends rather differently, more towards where I'd consider the middle of a chapter. That's because the chapter length got too out of hand and needed splitting up. To make up for it, Chapter 8 will follow after very shortly (about two weeks time, again depending on the availability of proofreaders.)
Chapter 9 will be up in June, and well I'm partway done 10, hopefully I can get it done somewhere between classes and previous chapter editing for July. The course ends in June, so we'll have to see how things go. All in all the fic should meet it's completion (Chapter 12 + Epilogue) this autumn. After that, I'll take a poll and ask what you think about me tossing its contents to Equestria Daily for review and possible posting.
(Since I'll be using my blog to poll it, I'll expect absolutely no votes, comments, or thoughts and probably end up doing whatever is the most laziest course of action for me)

Oh, hope you all like the new temporary cover art for the fic. I don't know who did it up, and that's why it's temporary, I don't like using pictures without being able to quote their source. That's why I commissioned it's own cover art specifically for this tale of mine, it should be ready around the beginning of summer or thereabouts. Plus an old animator friend of mine needed the money to help sponsor a new comic she's putting out. If you're Going to the Halifax Convention this November you can probably see her stuff there.

Welp, time to get back to the books,
Ciao!
