One Neat Thing That I Did Get to Do Last Summer

During August of 2016, my friends and I visited South Korea. When I went there, there were three things in particular that I wanted to do: I wanted to get some good hiking in, I wanted to see some live Starcraft games, and I wanted to do some karaoke. It turns out I got to do all those things and more. If you want to see that Starcraft bit,

    I'm Back, After an Age

    Hey folks,

It sure has been quite a while since I was last on here. I just want to say that I am back to jump back into A Heart of Change and to bring it to its conclusion, and that's the gist of what this blog is about. If you want to hear a rambling story explaining my absence, by all means keep reading.

I Happened to Stumble Upon a Beautiful Treasure

So I just happened to click on the stats button for AHoC because I hadn't done that in quite a while, and suddenly I noticed that I had gotten a few hits from EqD since I had last looked, which I thought was quite strange. So I clicked on the link and ended up on this page which showed the results of an event that

Chapter 24 is Done and Going Through the Final Stages of Editing.

And I aim to publish it sometime tomorrow. Thank you for your considerable patience and continued readership. I'll definitely get the next chapter out in a more timely fashion. I am tentatively aiming to wrap this story up by sometime around August or so.

Now I'm going to go straight into planning and writing the next chapter.

    Cheers,

I don't see why so many people hate the dentist. The only reason I dislike them is that I don't have a dental plan, so every time I go it's about 200-400 dollars I'm losing out on. It's kind of fun for me. I have a half-frozen face which feels really cool and is fun to poke at. Even with the drilling, the experience was kind of relaxing. Makes me wonder how each of the CMC would react to a trip to the dentist...

I'll get back to writing.

Oh it's entirely the bill that makes us hate them.
I am just lucky that my teeth are good, and I don't need to see them much at all.
But when it costs $200 to just have them looked at, and something like $1000+ to have even a small cavity fixed, you start to hate them pretty fast.

I could get a large number of ponies for that level of cash.

My hate of the dentist can be summed up in two words.
Fluoride. Paste.
*shudder*

After shattering my top front teeth a long time ago and having four years of work done on my teeth (military dentists don't have enough to do), I've learned not to hate dentists. Heck, for the three cavities I've managed to get in the past 30 years, I've not had any anesthesia pumped into my mouth. It doesn't actually hurt.

So yeah, I'm not sure why people are afraid of the dentist either (except when they see the bill). Also, numb face IS pretty awesome.

Mostly for me its just the thought of people with pointy things working near my throat. It makes me claustrophobic,

Dentists don't really frighten me. They just annoy me. I can deal with the poking and prodding with sharp instruments and the undignified aspect of having somepony else brushing and flossing my teeth. What annoys me is that they try to hold conversation with their instruments in my mouth. I am neither good at small-talk nor talking at all when my mouth is filled with metal. I can hardly imagine why they'd try to make me do both.

Know the feeling, the military dentists are not the most gentle of people, that and it really doesn't help that i've cracked the same filling three times, and am supposed to have wisdom teeth removed, and then replace the tooth I broke god knows how long ago on the main sights of my MGS(the stryker with the 105mm cannon)

Ouch. I shattered mine in a 'friendly' game of tag... :pinkiecrazy:

I know you Stryker guys love your toys, but did you really have to kiss it? :derpytongue2:

Love that abusive little whore.......

maybe, but not out loud, and besides, I would rather be on a real tank(abrams) But the stryker is better than anything else I guess

Probably because I lose the ability to breath through my nose at the dentist, so I'm pretty much choking the whole time.

Two words. Gag reflex. I gag when there's something distasteful, unwanted, or generally unpleasant to me in my mouth. The viscosity of the dentists toothpaste, the depth of the tools, and the fact that I can't swallow and that suctiony thing doesn't really work too well when place on the side of my mouth. I'm so bad with gagging that when I have to take medications it can only be a pill or tablet. I gag on chewables. I just really don't like the flavor of the liquid, some of which do make me gag. In short, gagging sucks.
