Happy First Day of Spring! · 12:27pm Mar 20th, 2013
Today is March 20, and as we all know, the first official day of Spring! Hooray! I've heard Winter Wrap Up so many times that I think I'm going to claw my eyes out! Woo! I think I'll listen to it again because that's how much sense I make! Yay!
There is an actual point of this blog though. To all of you who have subscribed to Jukebox Scribbles, I regret to inform you that my planned update for today will be postponed, but this is because I have something else in the cards that I hope to get finished and published today. This new story is completely new in its creation and is NOT the full-length multi-chapter TwiDash that I am still planning. It will instead be a one-shot, probably around ~4,000-5,000 words. It started out as my next update for JS, but then I decided it would be better as its own stand alone story. I hope I don't butcher it too much.

Sounds fun. I'm hoping to get Pinkie's poem for Pony Poetry Vol. 1 (I'm killing the Mane 6
) sometime today during my track meet when I have bukkits of time. Then I get to write the seventh poem at the very end to wrap up Volume 1.

933663 that's fine, if it's interesting I'll certainly read it and help you better your skill, I have a story with a bit of balanced OC-shipping that I want to write... but I refuse to write it until I'm sure I have all the participating character's mannerisms and speech nailed down.

Out of all of their deaths, Pinkie's is probably going to be the most fun to write. However, I enjoyed killing off the four that I have. Still debating on happy end or not. Either way. All of them die by the end.

... growing up in the northern section of the united states has given me a different manner to speak than those who grow up in the southern part... and because of how I was taught my OCD about punctuation and grammar get off the charts every time I try to write like that, and even though I can understand how it may sound rude, I've been led to believe that there's a kind of vice-versa effect when southern Americans listen to how northern Americans speak.

I think I portrayed everyone pretty well. The deaths were fitting. It was great fun to write Rarity's especially, for some reason. I gained new respect points for her from my own story.

933695 I can see how AJ can be somewhat difficult to write. My advise would be to not go overboard with speaking mannerisms. Include them, like switching "I" with "Ah" and that sort of thing.

933709 yeah i know lol... i knew that if I didn't at least have a little help understanding about the mannerisms in the first place, and then compare them to the character during the show, I would certainly go overboard and make her sound stereotypical... which is something I'm really trying to avoid.

933723 the story itself is going to be written in the FPV of the OC character, I would be setting it up as a teen Adventure/Romance story, gore would be minimal, except for where it really is able to bring the reader into the magnitude of the situation.... and romance would be kept away from the more mature versions, and said mature versions would be written as a separate fiction that is woven to make the story understandable without reading it. The greatest trouble I have... is figuring out how to start the first Bucking chapter...
