    Just Keep Typing...

    Hey Peeps.

Things are still slogging along, in spite of what it may seem.
Unfortunately things may come to a temporary halt for another fair stint.

    Over a Year

It has been over a year since my last chapter was put up.

Does that make me a bad person?

*ducks and cowers from the loud, resounding confirmations*

What if I just posted another chapter and took my fic off its hiatus status? Still a bad guy?

    *ducks thrown objects*

    The Empire Strikes Back!

Or in this case, the Everfree.

New chapter is up! Hope it was worth the wait. I forewarned it's more dark nature in my last post, but with my editor freshly traumatized, I perhaps need to make another warning here.

Our Time to Fly,
Release Schedules!

So, here I was typing along, following my chapter outline when suddenly, 40 pages long!
*forehead doest be smacked*
So not wanting to make a single chapter 20,000 words in length apparently I now have chapter 7 and 8 done. Well that's pretty far ahead of schedule, so yeah, in May you'll be presented with both in a one-time only, bi-weekly special! This is also because the chapters go hand and hand, and it'd be a shame to keep them too far apart.

As a huge addition MrMinimii has finished proofreading and editing my first chapter. the newly revised and more grammar correct version is up! It is not necessary to read it again, if you got the jidst of the story the first time, nothing has changed plot wise, and no new foreshadowing is contained that wasn't there before.

In further news:
There are those who've faved my story I've thanked in a more varied way than normal, offering a little tale of their own a couple paragraphs long. I do this because thanking people seemed so... mundane. If I haven't thanked you yet, it's because I'm working on a small write up for your name as well. If I thanked you without a story, patience may see one come your way as well, eventually.
I figure I might as well throw the ones I make up here:

Blue Ligthing

He was a blue streak against night sky, a flash of light, and a hint of shadow. He was silent and without reproach, a pony who believed actions meant far more than any word could tell. I knew he showed me his favour for when I awoke there was a new thumb, and a star with a name.As secretly as he arrived, he was gone again.
Blue Lightning! I salute you!
May the skies forever lead you to other authors to whom you shall bestow your favour as you quietly make this world a better place!

Draco Dei

Legend tells of a great white serpent, winged, powerful, and wise whom natives of it's lands called Draco Dei. Large though it may be, they said it was eerily quiet as it trudged through the murky darkness of wasteland crevices and mountain caves. In these ancient holes it searched for buried riches and gems long lost to others.
As it carefully moved along, every now and then it would find one of the rare jewels it sought, but this legendary beast does not take this precious stone, hoarding it in selfish secret like others of it's kind. Instead it cautiously brought the sparkling piece of earth out into the sun, simply enjoying the sight of of the reflected light as it played upon the jewel's surface.
Then with naught but a claw mark, an imprint of it's thumb beside the stone, and a sign of a star to bestow it's favour onto the little jewel, the mythical creature would leave as silently as it had come. No words ever spoken, no comment given or needed, for now the search would begin anew, looking for more of the land's rare treasures, it's gentle cravings never truly gone.
(Thanks for the fave and thumb on Our Time to Fly!)

Adjier

"They tell tales of a stranger around these parts." The old man by the fire began, taking a puff from his long slender pipe as he watched the fireplace where flames crackled and snapped at hot coals and thick branches. "Of a stranger who travels over hill and mountain, through rushing rivers, and risks crumbling cliff sides. His clothes are haggard and torn, his face weathered from stormy skies and dusty trails. He journeys seeking stories old and new, fables of wisdom or riddles, filled with laughter or tears. He's sat by hundreds of campfires listening quietly to those that would share their tales, and they say he's always moved on before dawn's light without parting word or passing thought. Yet in his stead remains a strange star-shaped stone, glowing softly, and warm to the touch. They say these stones are shaped and formed by the tale twas told, and each as unique as flakes of snow. They were fashioned by the feelings your fable brought out, whether laughter or tears, excitement, or fears all molded together as a keepsake of your endeavors. It changes and glows with each new chapter, but as long as it endures you can feel him listen still, for It is a gift worth nothing at all and is altogether priceless. So thank him if you see him, this stranger of the stars and remember he's still listening as our tales unfold."
(Thanks for the fave on Our Time to Fly!)

More exciting things have been happening for me lately! I could talk about job promotions and higher paychecks, but I more refer to Path_of_Cloud, who has been tossing out a link to Our Time to Fly in his blog! All thanks to this guy my thumbs have passed the 20 limit, and more than 40 people have faved my precious little story.
I did him up a write up in thanks as well, and even went into rhyme with it. Interested? You can check it out on his profile page, or here in his blog. This guy gets as many people to read his blog as I get views on chapter 1.

He says he'll continue to spam my story if I return his wife and daughter. Isn't that nice of him?

Meanwhile here in March you can expect "Chapter 5: Feeling the Strain" coming out around the 15th!
Chapter 5 Preview:
"Flying isn't easy, and even with their landings down, Scootaloo and Spike have a ways to go, each with a major obstacle to overcome on their way to the sky, and as great a flier as she might be Rainbow Dash can't help them out! It looks like they'll just have to go it alone and learn by themselves, or do they? Meanwhile, Twilight has dug herself into a hole, her friends are there to lend a hoof, but will it be enough? Don't forget Rarity, who is off to talk to the Sun Goddess about Twilight's predicament, but Celestia might have something else on her mind to discuss with the budding fashionista. "

Stay tuned readers!
Ciao.
