Midwest Brony. Really appreciate critiques, especially if you catch grammatical errors. I'm far more used to prose and poetry than narrative, so any advice, hate mail, etc. is appreciated.

Lots of stuff I should discuss...

So yeah, I'm aware I haven't been very active in fanfic for quite a while. There's several explanations for this, but it really comes down to time. My job has been working me 70 hours a week and I'm too stressed to sit down and write in my free time. On a good note, I will be leaving this job soon and starting a new one mid-June, but this new job will be very time consuming, but far more

A Public Apology to Purple Tinker, milesprower06, and the Brony Fandom

tl;dr : I’m sorry the fandom is in an uproar because of my actions.

I truly loathe that I am in this position right now, but I feel my hand has been forced, and I must make a public statement about a bit of uproar in the fandom that while I had no direct involvement, I still feel somewhat responsible for causing.

    Semblance of Normalcy

Well, the last three months have been hell, but I'm finally returning to 4 day, 40 hour work weeks. Which means spare time. And no distractions, because I'm also single again. Maybe I can finally get some writing done.

    Thanks for your patience

The last two days have been my first chance in weeks to get some writing done.
Unfortunately, I spent both days in bed, sick as a dog...
I have the rest of Gravity planned out, just need the time to writie it. Soon I'll be done training employees and back to four day, 50 hour work weeks instead of my current five day, 65+ hours.

I Should Be Dead Right Now (LPU Relief Auctions!!!)

So... The last 24 hours have put a lot of my life into perspective. As the blog title implies, I really should be six feet under right now, and it's a small miracle I'm alive.

I Should Be Dead Right Now (LPU Relief Auctions!!!) · 5:30pm Feb 27th, 2013

So... The last 24 hours have put a lot of my life into perspective. As the blog title implies, I really should be six feet under right now, and it's a small miracle I'm alive.
I've been thinking a lot about the tragedy that has befallen attendees and, to some extent, guests of Las Pegasus Unicon. I'll save my full opinion as it would be full of rage, but what some people had to go through as a result of this is inexcusable. I don't care right now who is to blame, and perhaps that can all be figured out when the dust settles, but for now, there are many wonderful members of this fandom in need.
I was wondering what I could do to help, until yesterday happened.
I was driving a work vehicle down the interstate on the way to a raccoon rescue, and it had just started to snowstorm here in Chicago. I felt the truck begin to slide, and slowed down thinking it was the road conditions, but before I knew it, the truck was sliding into the other lanes and did a 180 before colliding with the barrier.
Somehow I flew across three lanes of traffic into a barrier without hitting another car, and I wasn't injured at all.
I should be dead...
This put a lot of my life into perspective, and as the day continued, I realized I have a lot of... "things". Random MLP stuff I've collected over the last year and a half, some of it with great monetary value to some, but in the end, they're just things. And I don't need things. So a good chunk of my collection has gone up on the LPU charity auction page.
There are some VERY valuable and rare items up for auction, listed below are items I posted:

Princess Cadence Plushie
Autographed MLP Issue 1 (1 of only 750 printed)
Autographed MLP Issue 1 Derpy and Doctor variant
ULTRA RARE Autographed Issue 1 variant (ONLY 125 EVERY PRINTED)
Rarity Bronycon Exclusive Promo Card
Applejack Canterlot Gardens Exclusive Promo Card
Fluttershy Everfree Northwest Exclusive Promo CardDerpy New York Comic Con Exclusive Promo Card
All 4 rare Gold series pack card (not the box toppers)

And the rest are a bunch of various cards for particular episodes signed by the writers

Several attendees were left stranded in Vegas after Unicon due to the convention renegging on comped or discounted hotel rooms. The con itself was also a disaster due to lack of funds and they were relying on ticket sales to cover losses.

Seriously bro, so glad to hear everyone is safe. That's a terrifying thought. :fluttercry:

And damn! You weren't kidding about the fire sale, were ya? Good on you. That's gonna go toward helping a lot of people in need.

Fellow commenters: If you need more info about Unicon or this auction site, Knighty made a blag.

Oh hey, I'm bidding on a few of your things. How did you get all these cards signed by all the writers? Did you really buy a bunch of autographs at cons, etc?

Amazing story, can't believe you're alive.

I'm one of the operators of Midwestria. We were the first con MA Larson attended, and we never charged for autographs lol. I still have blackmail on the poor guy. I saw you bidding on stuff and I was like OMG it's RD47 and Pen Stroke XD

Oh hey cool! I heard good things about Midwestria, I wish I could have gone.

I'm probably liable to get outbid, I don't have much, but I figured I could try.

The best part is thiswas about three weeks after the cards released. I approached the writers when they arrived early the first day of the con (6'7" tall dude with a handlebar mustache dressed as Rarity) and they were all like "What are these cards? Where did you get them? They made trading cards of our episodes"

I didn't attend Bronycon or Canterlot Gardens. Those promo cards were gifts. I also run the Midwest Brony Division, so just about any meetup that happens in Chicago or the surroundings has my involvement and during our Christmas charity meetup for @KikiandAmi, I was given them as gifts by some of our members.
