I update "The Longest Journey: Equestrian Edition" twice and all I get for it is 20 views, no comments, and a down vote? I do love to write, but at times like this I wonder why I even bother... I'm going on hiatus for a while until I sort this out.
Hmm... as other said, I think the problem is that it only have the other tag. It doesn't seem to be able to bring much attention or to fall under one of the common brony interests.
Perhaps you could try making some more publicity for it?![](https://static.fimfiction.net/images/emoticons/twilightsmile.png)
Well, yeah. Welcome to writing in general, where nobody recognizes your effort. I will confess I've yet to get to your story myself, though. I can barely find time to get in an Asylum chapter per week, let alone writing my own stuff (my poor readers...
). Anyways, you write well—people in this community value that so just keep trying and you'll hit a lucky break eventually. Other than that, I think the key is to write because you enjoy it, rather than for recognition. In all reality, even a successful author's fame is relatively shallow and short lived.
Admittedly I haven't looked at it myself, although that's due to the fact that I am not familiar with the with the series being crossed over. Regardless, I'd say from what I've seen of your other works that the problem is not your writing, what I've read has been pretty good. It may be a good idea to follow the advice of 867312 and try to find ways to increase publicity and awareness.
Dammit. This is one of my favorite stories to edit. Let me know when you're writing again.
