    Signs of Life

Neither I nor Millennium Wake (part II) are dead.

    Yet.

As some of you may have noticed, bad things happen when I set down a timeline.
Therefore, I am specifically not saying that I expect to have chapter 2 (26) finished by the end of next week.

Speculation (the other other road not taken)

The other day I received an interesting prompt from Regreme,

how do you think it'd be possible for the Elements of Harmony to be swapped in different ways due to changes to their lives as fillies?

The future is soon-ish (Millennium Wake pt II news)

I'm assuming everyone here has read Millennium Wake (now 'part I'). If not, that's a link, go do yourself a favor and read it.

I'm also going to assume that you know I've agreed to continue the story, six weeks ago. I make a lot of assumptions, it's a thing.

    The Shy Baboon

I was listening to a podcast from RADIOLAB when I noticed that the primatologist being interviewed reminded me a little bit of Flutterhy. So I listened, and the more I heard, the more I was struck by the similarities in her voice, her attitudes about animals and people, and her diet (it only makes sense if you listen to the podcast). The episode in question

    Anypony read Brust?

That would be writer Steven Karl Zoltán Brust, author of Jhereg and the other books of the Vlad Taltosh series, along with quite a few others, but it's the world of Dragaera I'm concerned with right now.

If you haven't I suggest them, but that's not why I'm writing this blog.

Alright Internet, you have called my bluff · 3:05pm Feb 18th, 2013

I have said it before, and I will probably say it again: this fandom rocks.

Guess what I found surfing TV Tropes last night?
Whoever you awesome people are, thank you. Really.

Which brings me to the fact that it is February.
...and it is finally time for me to fulfill the promise I've been repeating since the moment I published this story:

The world shall burn, the oceans will crumble, and humanity will be d
I'm going to fix all the numerous errors in previous chapters, as well as fixing the formatting so that everything looks (relatively) uniform and retcon a few minor errors. Thanks to the fine posters who have been generously identifying my previous errors, I have most of the work done on the first seven chapters.

I'm also putting out a call for anyone willing to take one last look over these "refinished chapters" and point out anything I missed. All I can offer is my gratitude and maybe a really crappy avatar picture in return. Usual drill for these editor drives: PM me, I'll send you a link to the gdoc folder.

Don't worry that this signals further delays for new chapter releases, refinishing the chapters is purely a secondary goal. 'Zeta' is back and better than ever, and 'Theta' is well underway.

Thank you for your time, and DFTBA

What needed to be fixed? I thought your chapters were good. Would you like me to reread the story again after the changes?

I think he means, minor errors like spelling mistakes ect, things that do not flow properly, and sutff that just needs to be changed to make it easier to understand.

Hooray and congrats, that's awesome.it's great to see good stories getting recognized. I'll point out anything I find as I read on if that helps.

843108 Yes, what 843417 said.
No major revisions, no plot changes or anything, just some spelling/naming consistency issues and the sort of grammar problems one can never purge themselves of (:twilightoops: no matter how many times I sieve and search and backread. :facehoof: I guess at some point we're just blind to our own faults:twilightblush:)

If you want to reread the chapters when I'm done, feel free, but you won't miss anything by not rereading everything (:rainbowhuh: when the hay did I pass 1K words?:rainbowderp:)

No, I promise that if I add new content it will be in a couple of 'extras' chapters at the very end... no sneaking new plot points into already published chapters - not for this story at least.:scootangel:

843511 Thank you, I appreciate that
I make no excuses for my mistakes, but I try to look at them as opportunities to learn and try not to repeat them. Someone wiser than myself once told me "It's ok to make mistakes, just keep making new ones"

Yeah what i said.:pinkiehappy: But re-reading hmmm idk seems a little daunting..:rainbowwild: When time is available why would i pass up a chance to read this amazing story.

Also if you want to see notMurphy's Third Grammer Reich, Check out my story.... he does not hold back :pinkiesick: Which is a good thing, cause i am learning

Ahem,

... if you want to see notMurphy's Third Grammer Reich, ...

...
The word is Grammar, and for anyone to know what you're talking about it would be better to use
'Third Reich of Grammar'

Nice use of metaphor, though. It always feels like more of a payoff if the reader has to make the final connection for themselves.

...
:trixieshiftright:What?:unsuresweetie:

Well that threw my little metaphor out the window, stupid typos :rainbowlaugh:. And no i like the sound of The Third Grammar Reich, little more menacing then the Third Reich of Grammar.
