I have a confession to make...

    I'm actually...not...DEAD, per se.

PHEW! Am I glad I got that off my chest!

That being said, I got a few nice private messages after that blog post, and it was really great to read after a long, exhausting day. I want to say thanks, again, to the people who messaged me!

Watched todays MLP episode...watch out, spoilers ^_^

I liked it. Discord can be a very interesting character! Though, now my husband keeps telling me that Discord ships Rarijack -_- I think Discord ships himself with Twilight =/ ANYWAYS!!

Did anyone else think of "It's Dangerous Business, Going Out Your Door" towards the end of the episode?

Of Being Sick of Looking At a Story · 4:53am Feb 18th, 2013

Ever worked on something for so long, edited so many times, and re-worked scenes so often, that by the time you're don't, you're well past sick of looking at a story? Yeah. That's me right now.

Also, have you ever looked at a word so often that the word stops looking like an ACTUAL word, and you even have to look it up to make sure you spelled it right, even though it's a really simple word? That happened to me tonight.

I remember the first time a word didn't look right to me despite that it's well ingrained in everyone's mind: Disney. I was on my way to Disneyland as a kid, and I kept staring at the signs ticking down the miles to get there, and the word looked so foreign by the time we actually arrived. >_< Odd childhood memory to have.

Anyways, now I'm waiting nervously for a story to be accepted and how it will be received, and I don't even want to THINK about it anymore >_<

.....Oh, gosh, the story is already in the "tagged stories" part of my blog that I can select >_< Wow. That's not nice. I get so nervous when stories are first posted...

I should probably go do something productive...

Oh, and just for kicks:

Ever seen or heard an angry hummingbird?

Don't worry. This will make sense later...

...or not.

No, I have never seen or heard an angry hummingbird before... Should I be scared? Also, I did have those moments where I stare/say a word for so long/repeatedly, it doesn't feel like an actual word at all... I feel like I'm high for some reason when that happens :applejackunsure:

An angry hummingbird sounds kinda scary. They're fuckin' fast. Also that happens a lot to me with the words "tree," "and," and "the." Some days they just don't look like words.

Also, in regards to you being allowed to tag the story: Your story gallery tells me you have four but only shows the three. FiMFiction doesn't know how to numbers I guess.

That's so true, I get that feeling all the time, the word thing that is

So have some Spock doing the same thing

841908 Ah, yes, repeating a word too often and suddenly it stops sounding like a real word. I've had that happen, too! Oh I stumble on a word for so long (like five tries), then I feel like I can't talk anymore. Then I just feel pathetic >_<
841916 I was with my biology class at a botanical garden, once, when there was an angry hummingbird chirping at up and dive bombing us. We were too close to his nest, I guess >_<

841929 He said it so often, it started to sound like "Fast netting". Which...you would need to catch a hummingbird? So....it works.....?

that happens to me all the time. words just seem spelled wrong, like the letter arranged in that way can't mean anything and i must be mistaken and looking for a different pattern of letters. usually happens to words 3-5 letters in length, lol.

841945 That's interesting, words 4 to 7 letters long usually get me. In this case, it was a 6 letter word...

"Said" is my word. If I even think of how to spell it, it doesn't look right. Like at the beginning of this sentence. Add to that that I'm actually extremely dyslexic, and really don't know how to spell a lot of words, so I get really paranoid if I look at a word like that. Thank heavens for my squiggly red lines.

But yeah, usually by the time I send a story to the pre-readers I'm convinced that it's awful. But for some reason, reading it after it's posted is like magic, suddenly it's awesome again. I think because once I post a story, I let it go. I'm not the type to take something down to edit it- it's published, done, out in the world to pass or fail. I love it so much more when it's out there.

And angry hummingbirds are still too cute.

Hope you aren't "Stuck" on anything... (:rainbowlaugh:)

But seriously, I actually am stuck on a lot of things. The reason being that it is a lot of things.
I've come up with like 30 different fan-fiction ideas that I really want to write because the concepts
are just that good. (From my opinion)

But I'm also a programmer who is attempting to program, draw, 3D model, sing, and as already mentioned, write
all at the same time.

Essays! I'm convinced a lot of mine are crap until I hand them in and receive a mark to validate them. Then I can tell everyone that I knew from the beginning that it was fantastic (or rag on the prof for not realizing the masterpiece they held in their hands and granted an unsatisfactory mark to). Also, door. At one point my brain decided to jump ship and insist that I spell it dore. I was obviously just pulling a Shakespeare and inventing my own words. It'll catch on.

842000 Aren't angry hummingbirds just the cutest? You're just like "Aww, wook at da wittle bird, so angwy!" I do that to my cat when he's staring at me, all grumpy >_< And for me, reading it after it's posted can....not be a good thing, sometimes? Hehe, it depends on the story. I can't read my first story - I've tried. It hurts to read it >_<

842008 .....Yeah, see, I get that pointed out to me all the time whenever I say the word "Stuck" now, to the point that I try to avoid using the word on this account unless it's actually about the story. ^_^; So...not funny :ajbemused: And yeah, trying to do it all can be like trying shove a bunch balloons through a doggy door at the same time. It just won't work. Unfortunately, I'm the same way! >_< Nothing ever gets done...

842054 I love how people have an actual word they can pinpoint that never looks spelled correctly to them! I have moments, but not an actual word that often confuses me as to whether or not it's spelled correctly. I do have words I always spell wrong though, like embarrassment <-- I got the squiggly read lines and corrected -_- Though there are words I can't say right on the first try, like "cinnamon".

The hummingbird looks quite disgruntled.

842094

For the longest time I couldn't spell focused. I'd always add an extra s in there for some reason. My roomies (who I get to check over my papers as fresh sets of eyes whenever they have the time) are always calling me out on being comma happy, too. I feel like if I can fit something into one giant sentence its better than bunches of little ones, which leads to these things - , ; being everywhere. I feel like I should be going to punctuation users anonymous meetings :derpytongue2:

842153 Ah, yes, long sentences can be VERY tempting! Usually, when I edit my stories, I try to keep in mind how long my sentences are. One of my writing books recommends varying the length of sentences to keep the reader from getting tired. It helps.

.....see what I did there?

Sometimes when I'm proofreading for others, and I can't quite figure out what's wrong, I start counting how many words are in a sentence, and if they are about as long as the others in the same paragraph. That helps me, sometimes.

But yeah, I get comma happy, too, sometimes. >_<

God, that's a cute hummingbird. <3

And I know what you mean about words not sounding/looking right. I get that with almost every word if I repeat it more than three times. Very annoying and distracting.

Also yay, I'm proud of you for posting the story!

Cute pic. It's hard to imagine those tiny little wings holding that angry puffball up.

Also, collide is weird right now. And weird, apparently, now that I've written it...

842639 Thank you ^_~ I'm glad it's FINALLY done =P
842937 You know what's a weird word to say? Moist.

843158 Moist, LOL... I can't even look at that word anymore. Well, not much. :pinkiehappy:
