I hope you all are enjoying my fanfic! However, I also realize that there may be a little revising and reediting in order. I want this story to be pleasing to you guys, both grammatically and literally. :)
So, I got a comment that says my fic is a "pitiful self-insertion fic," just so I could express my desires. Connor is a cartoon character that I created and is featured in most of my drawings and comics. He is pretty much based off of me: name, personality. So it technically be a self-insertion, but that depends on one's opinion. I don't feel like arguing with that person, but I can say, "So What? So what if it is a self-insertion? It's all for fun!" Seriously, everyone who writes all of these fics have fun and why should they not?
I don't know if he is a hater or something, but no one should pull of an attitude like that. Love and tolerance, am I right? So if one sees it that way, that person's not loving and tolerating.
I just hate haters. No, scratch that, I just really really really really really really really really dislike haters. I can see why one should just ignore them.
Anyhoo, I just had my first hater. Owch.
Love and Tolerate or GTFO.

this isn't the first time i have read about someone making a big deal about Self-insertion. as far as "Pitiful Self-Insertion" goes, i see nothing wrong with it? i don't know the writer's or anything about them so its still a new character to me, so what does it matter if its based off the writer or not?
anyways, there's always going to be spiteful opinionated people out there. but, just think. how many positive comments and happy readers for every negative comment or unhappy reader? i can assure you those pleased are much higher.
I'm with you on the very much disliking haters and spiteful people in general. being an kind, easy going person their actions greatly contradict my own so i try to avoid interaction with such people.
its a shame really, why people gotta be mean and hate? when they could Love and Tolerate!
My wife is an artist. She says that she absolutely loves it when someone comments on her work, be it negative or positive. Whether they like it or not, your work has invoked emotion in them and spoken to them on a level that they had to react, even if it's only to tell you are "pitiful." It's easy enough just to ignore a story or a work of art, but to take the time to tell someone?
Like the above have pointed out, let the haters hate, but you sir keep writing. And give yourself a little pat on the back every time you knock someone out of their comfort zone.
Don't let haters daunt you.
