Ever have people come up to you and try and insult you for being a brony, but they don't have a legitimate reason for the insult. Some dude just walked up to us, asked if there was a manga section in the library, and started discussing how upset he got when somebody pronounced Naruto wrong, which I did. Apparently he is fluent in Japanese language, culture, etc. I apologized because I understand, sometimes people pronounce things wrong, and I try to correct them so they don't sound ignorant. He just kept going on and on about it, and finally he ended with 'Is that your Girlfriends Stuff! My little pony and some heart thing.' To which I replied 'Yea, I am a brony.' Simple right? He pretends like he is going to hit me, and then goes off about how he doesn't understand how people could like that blah, blah, blah. Now normally, haters don't bother me, but really? I am being made fun of for being a brony from this guy? A guy who knows nothing about me, the fan base, and is into anime and manga. He better be lucky I was feeling nice, otherwise I would have told him to stuff it and go somewhere else with that bullshit. This is why I am a brony, because there are people out there willing to make fun of other people without looking in the mirror. His own insecurities bothered him so much, that he comes up to ask me for help, gets mad at me for mispronouncing Naruto, and made fun of me for being a brony. This is the first time as a brony someone has gotten under my skin that bad.
Damn dude.

Man I know how you feel. I've gotten a couple online comments about it here and there, but I drew the line at Theresa (dad's "fiance" [don't ask]) getting on me about it. I told her to stuff it. I even got her son, who's pretty much my bro watching the show from time to time too (though he's not really a brony). Suffice to say, when you call your own kid gay for watching a show, that's just...I don't even have any words to describe how wrong that is. My dad is straight out of the 80's and he couldn't give a rats ass that I watch the show. Cool guy I tell ya.
Rough, I honestly wouldn't take that from a Naruto fan and not at least do something back. He probably just felt like trying to degrade someone would make him seem cooler by comparison, a tool for sure but nobody to worry about.
824306 Honestly, I like Naruto, I've watched it up to the pain arc and then stopped. In fact I watch quite a bit of anime, and my favorite is Cowboy Bebop, but this guy was just inches away from getting into a scrap with my friends. They aren't bronies, and they are pretty big guys on top of that. To be fair, I was just upholding my traditions of love and tolerance (I lived life this way even before the show [sorry for being hipster]). Either way, he left me alone, which is all I really wanted in the first place.

I only meant that if someone was bashing what you like because its not considered "cool" yet is a fan of something "uncool" themselves then they're a jackass.
