As a Bay Area native, I think I was contractually obligated by my birth certificate to cheer for the 49ers. I, however, could care less about sports. But I made the mistake of going shopping tonight, and I saw a lot of people prepping for their game day festivities, and now I'm seeing all this hype online...I felt the need to comment and fulfill my contract by saying....Go, Niners... *waves a little flag* *toots a sad, pathetic horn*
Plus, I'm avoiding going to sleep. LOOK HOW GOOD I'M DOING!!!
Anyways, the only interesting thing about this is that I'm in a different apartment than when the Giant's won (and THAT created a whole bunch of noise outside my window when people were cheering on the streets for well over an hour), and this apartment has rather thin walls, so if the niners win - I'll know. And I won't have to have listened to a single iota of sports jargon! On TV. I'll still hear it from people when I go out, tomorrow.
If they leave the house at all...

Well, that sucks, I don't know which would be better for you, if the niners won or if they lost... on the one hand if they won, then everybody would be CONSTANTLY talking about the game and asking you hat you thought of it and partying... but if they lost it, while they might not be so annoying, they would all be grumpy and would complain about the refs

But since my mom's boyfriend is coming over, I guess there's no locking myself in my room and pretending that the Super Bowl doesn't exist. But I can watch it I guess.

I couldn't keep watching that show >< Bryke are REALLY bad at the whole "writing romance" thing, and they try to hard to add it, and It physically hurt to watch that show. They could have, like, not tried writing it at ALL. ...hehe, you've touched on my unresolved issues with Avatar and my uber Zutara shipping that remains unfulfilled...

Kataang had no chemistry! There was almost nothing there. If anything, Katara and Aang had a mother/son relationship. That love/hate thing with Zutara atleast added a DYNAMIC. And when they became friends, it was like "YES!" because now something could bloom there.
And you know what the funny thing is? I could have cared less about shipping when I started watching that show! I actually didn't mind the whole Kataang shipping from the beginning. I was actually even happy that Aang kissed Katara before they invaded the Fire Nation, cause then I was all, "Oh, good, now we can have some friction of dynamic or chemistry going here." But then it was like the kiss DIDN'T EVEN HAPPEN! It wasn't even on a simmer in the background, it just didn't EXIST!
Zutara had potential! Zutara made lots of amazing fanfictions and fanart. Kataang was just, "Hey, he's the main guy....she's the main girl. Let's throw them together without any development of their attraction to one another."
I personally would have liked the ending 20 million times better if they didn't go out of their ways to be all, "EVERYONE IS TOGETHER WITH THEIR TWUE WOVE!" It was unnecessary! It was just awkward and clunky and slowed down the story line.
At the end of the day, the best relationship they had in that ENTIRE canon of the show was between Zuko and his Uncle. And I platonically ship that ^_^

However, the Appa and Momo ship had real ground for development and probably made slightly more sense :P
And yes, Zuko and Iroh had the best relationship in that entire series. It was those two that made the first season for me, and the rest was carried by Sokka and Toph. As long as nobody, and I MEAN NOBODY, ever brings up Shamalama's horrible shit excuse for a movie, carry on with your debate.
