'The Mare Behind the Mare' Inducted Into The Royal Canterlot Library

I'm honored and humbled to announce that the prestigious curators of the Royal Canterlot Library have decided to feature 'The Mare Behind the Mare' as their most recent inclusion, despite me not making it particularly easy for them to track me down so I could complete the interview portion.

Hard Reset: The Movie: The Netflix Miniseries: The Review

I'm not actually going to subject you to the same shtick as when I reviewed Edge of Tomorrow. That's funny once and only once. But! This past weekend I watched Russian Doll on Netflix, Which is very much a merger between Groundhog Day and, uh, probably Final Destination, but I'll get to that.

    How To: Slice of Life

I wrote this back in 2013 for the site, but it never ended up getting posted anywhere. I fought it again today when I was sifting through my Google Docs folder and I figured that since I haven't had much of a presence on the site for the last couple of months I might as well toss it up in the hopes that somepony somewhere finds it helpful.

I'm gonna need a bucket or something to hold all these thumbs · 8:37pm Jan 31st, 2013

So sometime overnight Hard Reset passed 1000 "likes" and also got picked up by EQD, though I don't know when it will actually end up posted. I just wanted to thank you guys for reading it, and for pushing me to write chapter five. I'm really glad I didn't leave it off where I originally planned to. As for the many many requests for a sequel I promise nothing. Although I could see myself doing a follow up with more time travel and Starswirl. If I hadn't made Twilight gay maybe she could have turned out to be her own great ^ 50 grandmother. With the hints I dropped it might go in more of a "Never meet your heroes" direction instead though. Who knows?

Someone in the comments mentioned TvTropes, so I threw up the bare bones of a TvTropes page.

I'll probably take a break from writing for the next week or so, but I'll be around.

Cool! Can't wait to see what you write next!

I love me some time fuckery.

Could you write a continuation chapter for the alternate ending like you did the real one?

Oh Celestia, tell me Twilight did not do the nasty in the pasty!

I have an Olympic sized swimming pool for all your thumbs if you want it

778378
Maybe I could do both. Twi finds some reason to go down the alternate time line and she gets to meet her changeling queen self.

778379
Strictly speaking, isn't ALL nasty in the pasty relative to the present? Future nasty is really only POTENTIAL nasty until you collapse the waveform,

778384
But then what will I do with all these torches and pitchforks?

Hmm... you know what you could do instead of time travel again? Dimensional travel, like that episode of Star Trek TNG where Worf keeps moving into different universes. Or how about something akin to the show Sliders?

778398 Twilight would never dare try that again. She almost became insane even after it was all over. How could you make it seem plausible?

778417
Interesting possibility. Starswirl wasn't originally from this timeline, but is actually Twilight's alternate dimension counterpart...

Of course if I were doing an alternate reality fic I would probably just go back and pick up Always Has Been again, since that sort of touched on a lot of those same alternate dimension ideas.

778435
It would be a stretch, for sure. Twi's been burned enough by time travel in the show and in Hard Reset

778453 I'd read it anyway! I hope your not just trolling and getting my hopes up.

Congratulations. Very much deserved.
Part one of your story, "Twilight works to save her friends and family," was solid.
But it's part two, "Twilight's friends and family work to save her," that really knocked it out of the park.

Congrats on EQD, this story really deserves it. A few days later, and I still a bit emotionally gobsmacked by chapter five.

778398
Ah, I meant nasty in the far pasty.

Gay Twilight is Best Twilight.

Congratulations!
More "Artemis, Stella & Beat" please? :pinkiehappy:

personally, and I don't know why, I immediately assumed, mainly cause of time travel, that Celestia was hinting that Twi was Starswirl
