So a while ago back when I was still working on the main storyline for The Secret Life of Rarity, I had a cover art contest. The one you see on here is the one that won obviously, but I was thinking and I wanted to show you the other entries so here you go.

I think that the one you chose is definitely the best. I think that the lack of blood helps you differentiate yourself from being just another cupcakes fic.

I've only played the first game, so the second and third are very confusing for me. Like the heroes and Gong being back.

774836 Let me explain.
Patapon 2- The Patapons build a ship and set sail, only to get shipped wrecked. They end up finding there ancient homeland of times forgotten. So they explore and end up fighting the Karmen, a bunch of tiki mask people. They run into Gong who was revived by the Karmen to help defeat the Patapons, it turns out he actually wanted to help instead. So they march and bash the Karmen and beat their leader "Ormen Karmen, a demi-god. After his defeat he summons a demon named Dettankarmen. After the demon is slain they free the Patapon Princess, she is found at the end of a bridge that later on is to be repaired. This leads to the story of Patapon 3.
I think you made the right choice. The photo is subtle and has the rock there that makes you wonder what / why she is holding it. Then you read about the first 3 kills and go "aha!" With the other pics it's like saying "hey look I'm covered in blood killing ponies!" It just doesn't seem as interesting.

774836 Patapon 3 now.
After fixing the bridge the patapons find a massive chest and stupidly release a bunch of evil spirits, they are turned to stone. A old star that was in the now broken chest revive the patapon hero, that joins the party in Patapon 2, and turns him into a Uber Hero. A Uber Hero is the personification of Almighty the Patapon god. After said U.H. the star revives Ton, Chin, Kan. A tatepon, yaripon, and yumipon. They fight the armies of the Bon Deth and the Dark heroes Ragewolf Madfang, Naughtyfins(Patapon Princess), Sonarchy, Ravenous (GONG!), Buzzcrave, Slogturtle, and finally Covetthiss(Creepy trans gender.). After them they kill the combined form the evil spirits, Arch Pandara. Then the happy ending and Uberhero choices to be made. That's everything in a nutshell.

Seems like fun, only if the songs in Patapon 3 weren't so... rock like. Yeah, I'm not too fond of something like native music turning into rock. Other than that, it actually seems like fun. Speaking of Patapon, I'm almost done writing the first chapter of my crossover.

775804 I dunno, you might be pleasantly surprised by it. Yes it does have gore, but the story is definitely not Cupcakes with Rarity. In fact, I've been doing massive edits and toned down the gore in a lot of chapters considerably. It's more a tragedy than a gorefest. It's a character study, not a Sweet Apple Massacre story and I even tried to stick as close to canon Rarity as possible. All in all though, still up to you.
775828 I can respect that, but even so tragedies are on the very short list of fics I find no positive entertainment value from. I just don't get any enjoyment from seeing characters that I enjoy die. Also Rarity is best pone and I have no wish to see that fall apart, as it were.
The cover you chose is the best (for much), the cover describes perfectly the loneliness she felt hiding so grim secret.
That reminds me, what happened to the rock of rarity? canterlot will have it as evidence? or they thrown into the river and by a twist of fate is the same rock that use blossom?
Not pay much attention to these questions, I like to know each detail of things that happen, but sometimes I exaggerate.

You made the right decision but the first drawing would be my second pick. Also I have to say that story had the best ending even though it was incredibly sad (Weird I'm sad for the serial killer and not the victims)
