'Life is a Lemon' podfic ... dramatic reading ... audiofic ... feh, I don't know what to call these anymore. · 4:34pm Jan 28th, 2013

Finally managed to sort out the problems that were making the audio so quiet. Things take a turn for the dramatic in this chapter, wherein Lemon Dreams is forced by her psychiatrist to confront the 'ghost' she has been seeing, plus the behaviour that has had her making the residents of Ponyville so miserable.

:pinkiegasp: You have an interesting voice. Dunno what I was thinking, but anyway. :twilightblush: Pardon my seemingly ignorance, but are you a female? Your profile says you're English (English English, I assume; not US English, like myself, and I don't recall writing language from the two stories of yours I've read so far that each read only once so far :twilightoops:) and I know some men in the world may have feminine voices pre/post-puberty and vice-versa for women with masculine voices. :twilightsheepish: No disrespect or offense meant.

And from what I'm hearing, you do voices for ponies, based on who's talking? Well, that's quite interesting, heh. Maybe I'll listen to this fully later, if don't check out the story myself as have been meaning to for a while, as it is, possibly. :scootangel:

Yep, I'm female and a Brit. No offense taken, although I did have a giggle at being mistaken for a man as I've always been told I have a rather high-pitched voice.

I've always preferred audiobooks with readers who give each character an individual voice, so I try to do the same myself. Sometimes I succeed and sometimes I don't (Big Mac, oh how your baritone plagues me!) but I hope it helps the listening experience a little. I assumed everyone who reads fanfic online did this. Don't they? :rainbowhuh:

Thanks for the comment. I really appreciate it!

Well, not really everyone, I know I myself don't and not just cause up until a few years ago (at least, if not longer), didn't ever have a known way I could record my voice on a computer program (with no known microphone built-in or one that could be plugged in to the computer/laptop). Most people just wanna read fics for themselves, if they're not self-conscious about their voice or feel it's too much hassle if they don't do it on the first go or whatever. Sorry that Big Mac's voice plagues you when trying to read him. //dl.dropbox.com/u/31471793/FiMFiction/Applejack_lolface.png

And you're welcome! Just sorry I'm behind on commenting on your stuff as they actually come up on the day they're posted or get around to it (if it's a story I don't read right away) and others STILL. :twilightblush:

Edit: And didn't really mistake you for a man, I just WANTED to be absolutely sure, since there are probably people like that (men with feminine voices and females with deep voices) in our world, even if didn't sound like you were one of them. :twilightblush:
