... Because I've flat out had it with the 'fandoms' whining about the new season.
Everybody is saying: "The shows creators don't care anymore" or "This show is really dropping the ball"
Which I'm going to be honest: All I hear is: "WAH! WAH! THE SHOW ISN'T DOING WHAT -I- WANT!"
It's a fucking show for little girls that is meant to sell toys. Yes the continuity isn't up to par much anymore, but I honestly think the writers are doing the best with what they have. We don't know what they are being told. This Discord episode was too quickly resolved? What did you expect for a half hour segment? Chances are they couldn't get the green light for a two parter, but wanted to write this story and so here we are.
Just... Just WHY are people taking this so seriously? Why do they feel as if their world has been shattered because of a few hiccups? It's just a TV show people. Stop throwing THAT much energy into it and remember that there are OTHER shows to see, OTHER things to experience, and a real life you HAVE to live.
The show is a very pleasant and nice distraction of entertainment, and a nice world to imagine in, but in the end it's just some fake world made up by people who like to watch cartoons.
Honestly I need a break from all of this. I've needed a break for a while it seems, and while it seems like I've been taking one, I have been trying to get in the mood to write, but I need to come to grips with myself. I just don't want to right now, and frankly until things calm down a bit, I doubt the urge is going to return.
I've come to terms with the fact that people will never be happy with what they get, and will only whine about how it wasn't the way they wanted or how their head canons were destroyed. I just sorta sit back and laugh as they rage about a kids show.
(This is why I don't follow fan forums) Cheer up VM. Don't let the loud obnoxious ones get you down (saber spark made a funny video about this).The fires of senseless whining will burn out and they will leave. At our core we're still the same fandom, producing Fics, radio plays and shows, art, and so on and so forth (there is an MMO, fighter, and movie I'm looking forward to). Just remember to keep calm and flutter on.
