They have been able to easily fight of griffin squadrons, manticore packs, and has even brought a single full grown dragon down.Under the current leadership of Firefly Dash, the Lightning Bolts are aguably the fastest arieal defense unit among ponykind.
But would you believe that these eliete warriors were born from a betrayal? The same betrayal that brought about the destruction of the original Wonderbolts (No, not those posers in Fort Rainbow Dash, they are actually the third group to form under that name) through the trickery and cunning Dream Valley has come to be known for?? Very soon, dear readers, I will tell the tale of the birth of Dream Valley's eliete flyers... and the undoing of Equestria's finest. This is the story of how the Wonderbolts were vaporized by lightning dust.
