-If you're bitten by a venomous snake, maybe don't bring it with you to the ER, just leave the snake alone and vacate the area immediately. The ER people have tests they can perform to determine if you need antivenom and what kind.
This week the life lessons we learned: -Don't be in a troupe of monkeys in Thailand and get into a fight with another troupe of monkeys. Apparently the police will arrest you. Which just begs the questions: Is there monkey jail? Are there monkey lawyers? Are there monkey courts and judges?
Oh, but I find it both funny and scary; I'm just not sure whether it's more one or the other. I probably would go with scary...
It's kind of funny to me from a different angle too, since I decided long ago to stay single for life. I never craved a relationship like other people did, so that decision was easy, and to this day, I don't think a relationship is for me. Still, I would be lying if I said I don't have doubts sometimes.
And yet, I often see in videos of both 'need no man!' feminists and 'need no woman!' red-pill guys, full of one-sided platitudes on why being single is great, and relationships suck. Sure, if you're young and climbing the career ladder, or you're a crazy scientist, activist, or whatever, and focus your attention on that, it may work for you for a while. But will it work for you once you're forty, fifty, or seventy? Or once your career is over? AFAIK we have studies on that, and they don't paint a pretty picture, at least for the majority of single, older people.
I don't know what the heck happened to society, but too many people believe they're outliers and it won't happen to them. The result is not going to be pretty.

I don't know whether I should find it more funny or scary...

You're probably right. Once self corrective mechanisms kicks in it will be... interesting, to say the least .
