Apocalypses, Apologies and Dramatic Readings! · 1:52pm Dec 22nd, 2012
Well, yesterday was cloudy with a chance of zombies. I'm never buying concrete bunkers from Ikea again; seriously, I was still sorting out the screws when the undead came knocking. Honestly.
Anyway, I apologize for the slow update rate of In Her Blood as of late. Apocalypses aside, I've been up to my ears in exam work and preparations for Christmas, which have both meant I've not had a huge amount of time for writing. Fortunately though, the new chapter is well on the way, and is on the right side of 4000 words at this point, so it's looking to be a decent length. I feel like the story's entering its second act now, and it's nice to have a bit of a change of pace and scene.
I feel like this story's been a bit of a slow burner so far, and as a result it may have come off as a little dull in places, depending on your outlook. If that's the case, then sorry! This was always going to be an experimental story, so I'm going to wait until the end until I try to figure out how successful the experiment was. However, I can promise that things are about to pick up a little.
Also, many thanks once again for the fantastic response to Under the Aurora; it was all pretty overwhelming and awesome. I can also say at this point that Ironwolf has kindly offered to do a dramatic reading of Aurora, so an enormous thank-you there. I'm looking forward to hearing what he makes of it, and I'll be dropping a link here as soon as it crops up on Youtube.
Zombie on, etc.

Confirmed. Don't expect anything before 2013 though, for I went out of town for the holidays. Most of it is already done, but it needs some minor adjustments for it to sound better.
Probably better than my K-mart blue light special one... fell apart before I even got it out of the box
