    Monthly Update: May 2024

    Hey all!

Progress on everything slowed last month due to unforeseen circumstances. Digging, pipe replacing, book-report drafting, all on top of the regular day stuff. I’m very sorry I’ve not given anything in a while, although something will be advanced soon. At the end of every day, I’ve just not been feeling like writing dialogue, which unfortunately is like 70% of my stories.

    Monthly Update

It’s been a bit since I last checked in, just thought I’d provide an update on how things are going. I feel like making these updates regular (once a month, maybe?) things, let me know how you feel about that.

    And.. Done!

Turns out setting a deadline can do wonders for your motivation. The next chapter of Tageasanbruch is now out, totalling 3,000 words.

The proofreading and editing was a bit tough, though.

    Procrastination and Progress

Well, this is awkward (most of what I do here is). I promised more regular updates to Tagesanbruch, and so far I have not delivered. Consider this then to be a deadline I’m setting myself. Two days, two days to finish the next chapter (editing might take an additional day too).

Meet the Majors: Tagesanbruch chapter 2 is out!

As promised, I finished the second chapter of Tagesanbruch. This year I plan on disciplining myself more, hopefully it works out, and content will be coming out more regularly. In addition, I’ve found myself with a bit of an “inspiration boost” where I’m excited to continue the story for a bit. Hopefully I can ride it for a few days.

Procrastination and Progress · 9:13am February 24th

Well, this is awkward (most of what I do here is). I promised more regular updates to Tagesanbruch, and so far I have not delivered. Consider this then to be a deadline I’m setting myself. Two days, two days to finish the next chapter (editing might take an additional day too).

The only legitimate excuse I have is that my mind has been elsewhere, focusing on a decently big worldbuilding project that has taken up a good portion of my mind for over a month now.

At least I made some progress on my other story’s rewrite for the first chapter. I’m currently 9,200 words in simply for the first 2 chapters which will take place over the same timeframe as the original chapter, in addition to the 1000 word prologue, which’ll make the acclimation to the world slightly less jarring.

In other news, I only just realised that Equestria at War now has its own story tag, I have no clue how long this has been a thing.

This has been me, checking in. Thank you all for to all you who made the decision to follow me, and those who are currently waiting expectantly for Tagesanbruch updates, I pray I can meet your expectations.

Don't worry, making stories is like a rollercoaster of difficulty, sometimes you write 3000 words in a few minutes and other times nothing in weeks, I've been writing Luna-Nightmaremoon sketches for almost a year and I still haven't even uploaded it here :ajsleepy:

In the end the important thing is that you are happy with what you upload, the quality of the project, I am following many fics that release updates every solstice :trollestia: and it is worth it, not to mention that you are doing this whole world of changelings and that is also an effort, Maybe you should focus on just one project, but that's your decision

The reason for two stories is to help avoid a burnout. By having two projects, I can work on one when I’m feeling passionate about it, and then when I start to lose the motivation to continue at that point, I focus on the other one.

Thank you for your kind words.

That's a good system, as long as it works for you it's fine.

Let's see what other stories come out of your psyche
