Turns out setting a deadline can do wonders for your motivation. The next chapter of Tageasanbruch is now out, totalling 3,000 words.
The proofreading and editing was a bit tough, though.
“Write the story that unfolds before you. Love quality more than you fear deadlines.” - Bayard the Truthspeaker (maybe)
Well, this is awkward (most of what I do here is). I promised more regular updates to Tagesanbruch, and so far I have not delivered. Consider this then to be a deadline I’m setting myself. Two days, two days to finish the next chapter (editing might take an additional day too).
The only legitimate excuse I have is that my mind has been elsewhere, focusing on a decently big worldbuilding project that has taken up a good portion of my mind for over a month now.
As promised, I finished the second chapter of Tagesanbruch. This year I plan on disciplining myself more, hopefully it works out, and content will be coming out more regularly. In addition, I’ve found myself with a bit of an “inspiration boost” where I’m excited to continue the story for a bit. Hopefully I can ride it for a few days.
Bit late to the party, I’ll concede that. But I just wanted to pop in and let you all know I’m still typing. It’s been a bit slow over the holidays, but now that I’m back from vacation, I’m hoping to pick up the pace. Tagesanbruch’s next chapter is basically done (just working on edits), and the chapter after that is underway. In addition, my other story’s getting some love too, now that I’ve actually hammered out the plot. Its (revised) first chapter is currently about six thousand words; plus
Just to alleviate any concerns, my current writing strategy has me writing two stories simultaneously. This way, if I ever run out of creative juice for one, I can switch to the other. Is it fast? No. Has it worked so far? Yes.
Anyway, without further ado, I’m happy to finally publish the first few bits of Tageasanbruch, a project for which I’ve been trying to get the opening right for ages. But, I finally decided I was happy with the first chapter.
I hope you all enjoy it.
