No longer motivated to write Sometimes Things Don’t Last, but given people here seem to like it, I’d feel a little bad about just deleting it if some people are wanting it to continue.

Is there any way to basically “give” a story away?

Yup, there's a way to transfer a story from one person's account to another's. Here's the entry about it in the site's FAQ. Not sure if I'd be able to do it myself, at least at this specific moment — I only noticed this blog in passing and haven't read your story yet, I'm afraid — but hope this helps regardless! :)
