Neo Somnambula Update #3 · 10:09pm January 20th

Hello everyone, it's been a long time since I did one of these updates for Neo Somnambula and I have at least some news to share.

So first, let me establish (if I haven't already) that Act 2 is complete and that I am currently working on what I consider to be "Act 3." Remember that while I call them Acts, they're just large story segments that I come up with. The plan is to hopefully finish Neo Somnambula this year... assuming I don't do another Act.

Here's the thing, while I do have an idea for Act 4, I know that ultimately the events in that concept would result in the addition of an Act 5 and potentially a 6th Act. :pinkiegasp:

Which, leads to the question as to if you're all willing to wait for that... or if you want it sooner?

My concern is that, if I release the story before it's done, that the stress might keep me from finishing it and I'd rather have the story complete beforehand. So... 3 Acts or 5-6 Acts? :rainbowderp:

Now that is the major good news/bad news part, so let's go to the show and tell part of the blog. :rainbowlaugh:

So, first allow me to show another image that I commissioned from Spectra_Sus, which I am currently thinking of using as the cover art for the story.

Once again it features Tansha and Blitzer's OC, Midnight Blitzer.

This next image is another piece I commissioned, by Brainiac and features Tansha along with older versions of Spike and Sweetie Belle.

At some point in the past, the three of them crossed paths and Tansha loves to tease them, saying that maybe they should have a threesome together. As you can see Spike isn't terrible amused by this. :rainbowlaugh:

While Tansha is kind of the poster child of this story/project, I am thinking that I may try to commission/request artwork of the other characters in the story as well. Share some love if you know what I mean. :raritywink:

Do keep in mind that I may be asking more Question of the Week blogs pertaining to this story/setting, so if you want to help that is one what to assist me. Please do tell me what think in regard to the number of Acts in the story.

Thank you all for coming. Have a great weekend.

Lol, Tansha teasing Spike and Sweetie Belle looks so funny.
Take as long as you need to.

As long as there is closure to some of the plot threads in the third chapter, I don't see any issue with publishing those before the next three are done.

There are at least 1,000,000 examples of long stories on this website that did exactly that, some of them even becoming trilogies in print.

5764495 Well, my concern is that if I post anything before I finish that I might get discouraged or demotivated and never finish it (*looks over at a pile of cancelled stories*), so I'd like to avoid that by finishing the story before I publish. :twilightsheepish:

5764469 Indeed.
