Merry Hearths Warming Christmas and Happy Birthday to Me! · 6:21pm Dec 25th, 2023
I mean, it's not my birthday YET, but I wanna mention it now anyway. No need to make two posts, after all.
It's that time of year again. Another year is coming to a close, and another one slowly approaches (lets just hope it's not approaching menacingly). I've got to say, this wasn't EXACTLY a terrible year, but it wasn't particularly good. Lots of stupid nonsense had happened, and we didn't even get much snow up to now (it snowed properly literally ONCE, before all but buggering off). On the upside, my writing and other hobbies have been much more active. Gaming has seen a slough of neat titles grace my collection over the months, most of them being a bit more on the retro side, some of them I even got to play during the year (one in particular giving me some motivation and inspiration)! I've actually been getting back into a bit of art, though it's still more scattered and seldom compared to when I used to draw ALL THE TIME.
However, what has really been growing at a steady pace was my writing. Not only have I been able to write and release multiple "Beautiful Stories for Ugly Children" chapters and another Apparition Amphitheater tale (my goriest one yet), but I've FINALLY started up my proper sequel to "Elements Change the Dark Hearts" with the prologue chapter for the story called "Elements: The Gray Chapters". Despite the very slim reception, I'm SUPER excited to finally get my major plotline story running after so many years of planning and set-up and consideration for how this glorious mess will proceed. In fact, I've written the next chapter, which I will be posting shortly after this blog is posted. I've also been returning to some work I've neglected for a while, so expect a surprise new chapter for something else too.
On top of ALL that, I had recently started an original novel, and have been poking away at it slowly for some time now. I can't wait to actually complete it, though it might take me quiet a while before that happens, with my track record of finishing a story being quite abysmal or, in the case of "Elements Change the Dark Hearts", super long and drawn out.
Never the less, that's all from me. May you have a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, Happy Hearth's Warming, or whatever other holiday you celebrate this season, and may you have a happy and joy filled new year.
