Five years of writing, that can't be right. I just started the other day.
On advice of my good friend Casketbase77, I figured I should plug my latest non-horse work, which has become a surprising hit in places that care about such things. For all of 2023, from March to just finishing this December, I've been writing a fic called Death and Taxes, based on a show some of you may know called Happy Tree Friends; and if you don't, well, don't worry about that either. It's a very loose AU.
Basically, if the idea of funny animals caught inside a cursed and evil town separated from the rest of the world with superheroes, prostitutes, pirates, and serial killers as characters appeals to you, I can at least say this fic is better than every other story that meets those parameters.
And most shockingly of all, this is my first ever fic to get fanart, and a LOT of it.
I'm working on a lot of things these days, but I don't plan on leaving Fimfic any time soon.

Beautiful. The best gift one can give is an announcement they're doing well.
Admittedly, I know almost nothing about about Happy Tree Friends other than its reputation as an infamous shock series. And also that it has a moose character, a species I always felt should have been in MLP.
Joy to the world. Fanart is proof a writer is doing something correct. Stay the course, and here's to an even more successful 2024.
