One month ago, PaulAsaran posted "To My Uncle", a story about writing stories. If you're thinking about writing stories, or just starting to write stories, or have been writing stories for a long time but are still bad at it although you don't know it, why not read this instead of some other pony story that isn't about writing stories?
How can you know if you're still bad at writing stories but don't know it? Well, that's the kicker, ain't it? This story doesn't provide the answer, but it will, at least, make you feel less-alone when you face that question.
I think that even people who don't write will find this story interesting, because its two main characters are both interesting on their own, and more interesting together. But I was focused on what the story said about writing. It rings true to my experience as a writer, it resonates with my own aspirations and doubts.

I've never thought about the retention rate, I always just download stories to read offline. I've been skewing the numbers for years! And really wish there was an option for viewing total stories an individual has read and estimated hours. I'd be curious
5753466 Years ago, like maybe until 2014, Fimfiction used to estimate your total reading time. I dunno why knighty removed that feature. A lot of people were proud of their reading time, & disappointed when it disappeared.
