Happy Birthday, Chantal Strand · 6:15pm Oct 15th, 2023

Today is Chantal Strand's birthday, she is the talented woman who voiced Diamond Tiara across FiM's first five seasons, capped off with a truly remarkable performance in "Crusaders of the Lost Mark". Perhaps to make up for the fact that Diamond Tiara never spoke a single line of dialogue after that episode, Chantal was also the voice of Spoiled Rich, who after being introduced in "Crusaders of the Lost Mark" had speaking roles in Seasons 6 and 9. Chantal also is apparently good friends in real life with Shannon Chan-Kent who voiced Silver Spoon, and Alexndria Carter who voiced Twist. The three apparently aduitioned for FiM together, which might explain why Twist was not recast after Alexndria Carter left Vancouver. And I believe Chantal was also one of the voices for Bon Bon prior to Andrea Libman becoming the definitive voice of the character in Season 5 (I believe Chantal voiced Bon Bon in "Green Isn't Your Color").

Chantal has had a number of other voice acting roles over the years. These include Cassie from Dragon Tales, Bijou in the English dub of Hamtaro, Madaline in two direct to home media movies in the 2000's, Starsong and Tiddlywink in G3 of MLP, and Lacus Clyne in the original Ocean dub of Mobile Suit Gundam .

Happy birthday, Chantal. I hope you continue to be blessed with many great voice acting roles for years and years to come.
