So... yeah. I'm just gonna be straight up with y'all. I mainly started writing as a coping mechanism to keep me sane in the Marines. I started All Smoke, No Mirrors to chronical my own struggles getting over alcoholism. In fact, some of you even noted the difference between the chapters my muse drove me to write, and the ones I had to start forcing out.
Well, now I'm out of the military. I stopped drinking. I found happiness. And with that, I've posted, what, three chapters in the last year? I have just... lost all motivation to write.
I will finish my current story. Its like 3/4 done anyway.
But I'm not promising anything after that. If I do release another story, it'll be completely written before I start.
(If you want, I still have a Discord I'm pretty active in and can be asked questions/updates in)
I want to thank everyone I met and all the friends I've made here in my last 12 years on this site. Thank you for all the comments, all the memories, all the good times that kept me coming back.
Thank you all.
-Jinzou, signing off for one of the last times.
Congratulations on finishing your journey! I'm happy I was able to be here and witness it! Good luck with life and may it be forever be of plentiful rewards for you!
Mission complete, good luck with your next endeavor and thanks for the journey.
Thank you for all the wonderful stories you have given to us, and good luck in wherever you go next.
I'll be sad to see you go, but maybe the itch to write will return (for a good reason) in the future.

God I hope so. I literally have months of constant ideas, literally pages of notes and excerpts from five different stories I want to write but... can't make myself.
Then again since I was a kid I always had more creativity than willpower. Onto whatever fixation is next, eh?
Thank you for your comment.

I have so many ideas left to write and so much left to finish. I think I would feel like I was betraying myself if I left now. But I do feel that waning motivation and it's mostly due to lack of free time. It sucks so much.

It is okay to let go of things, if you aren't enjoying the process of creating new works then what is the point. Don't hold your self back just because you had plans in past, plans change and it is okay to let some go.

if writing itself isn't as strong you can collab with someone that still has the fire burning strongly.
but thats your choice.
