Well, okay then. · 9:02am Oct 12th, 2023
So life is weird. Just gonna be some random thoughts this time.
I have trouble relating to other people's... well anything. I see opinions and I'm just like "geez, what's wrong with that person?" I see stories getting likes and so I think to myself, oh this'll be good. Nope, at least not to me. I'm not so arrogant as to think my opinion is the end all be all, but still. I really enjoy when other people do do that. When they objectively declare opinions as if their thoughts are fact. It's crazy stuff.
Like I do dump on the writers of MLP. But I'm not so pompous as to think that other people can't disagree or say that it is good. It's my opinion. And you can have yours. And we can be friends.
So my last story went down great. I really don't understand the whole Nightmare Night mentality. Aren't we supposed to like the grim and dark things? Especially on a one shot. Like, Cupcakes wasn't canon and wasn't meant to be analyzed. It's a horror story. I mean when I go to watch Texas Chainsaw Massacre or Halloween I'm not there to watch Leatherface or Michael get beaten. I just want them to preferably get some kills and who cares? I'm not trying to understand the fundamentals of why Bubba is a cannibal or why Michael turned out the way he did. (Thanks, no thanks Rob Zombie. Your Halloween movies were awful.)
Contests here quickly became a turn off. There are too many controversial things I'd say, but like momma said, "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." I will say I wish there was more feedback for them and a whole lot more elaboration on why x won or y didn't. If it's not a learning experience, there's no reason to even enter, even on a win.
Anybody really devastated at how badly G5 show looks compared to G5 movie? I mean both G4 look great, but they have different art styles. With G5 they are both the same 3d but the show is noticeably worse. It makes me sad. I really want to like G5, like I said, I love Izzy, but it's just such a drop in quality, even from the movie. Couple that with their constant attempt to try and shoehorn in G4 stuff and I just can't.
Anyway, BD is going smoothly. I like the direction and the next arc should last for a while. Lots of Twilight drama. More Sunset mysteries. Starlight being a:
(She never won't be.)
What? I like Kpop too much. I don't have a problem.
I also have another one shot coming Friday. Hopefully that one is somewhat appreciated. It's a lot more tame so, fingers crossed.
Well, back to writing. Have a good one y'all. Love ya. Oh and thanks to all of you readers and shelvers and whatnot. You keep me going.
Have a howl of a day.
It's more about thrill I think, not really grim and dark things. Just joyful scare for fun, which is either so distanced from reality that it doesn't seem plausible, or entertaining/vague enough so the reader wouldn't care.

Lol oh. Yeah I don't want fun with my horror. Ever seen Calvaire? I mean dumb slashers sure, but I don't think those work well in writing.
Welp, I’m not like this at all. When I hear someone else’s opinion I usually analyze it, sometimes I come towards the same conclusions as you do and I believe I’m correct, but I still change if my opinion is wrong or impossible. Actually, you do not specify if you’re stubborn or if you just don’t change your opinions.
Not saying having a stubborn attitude towards your opinions is bad, but I personally would rather have a flexible attitude. Just a preference.
As for horror media, I prefer body and cosmic types of horror. Or psychological horror, never really liked the movies. I mean they are fun, but I haven’t watched one in ages.
I should probably read your one-shot now, and catch up on BD, but we’ll see. Maybe I’ll do that tomorrow. Definitely not a pro procrastinator here.

Oh my opinions take ages to form. Thorough research and lots of time are requirements for me to express what I think or I'll make it clear I'm uninformed. I'll change my opinion on good evidence, but people's evidence usually adds up to because I like it or because I don't, not on facts.
Cosmic horror? Like... the Thing? I don't know if I've ever encountered cosmic horror, but I might just be unfamiliar with the classification.
Lol same when it comes to putting things off. Best motto ever.
Procrastinators unite, tomorrow.

Well, yeah, you seem pretty correct on your opinions most of the time, so continue on. While the people of the internet do sometimes don’t try to prove their opinion, I have met many who do want it proved and they actually try. They are somewhat rare.
Cosmic horror is usually a very overwhelming threat that could come from space, and it could be just a very horrifying one. The Flood would be a cosmic horror. Many things in WH40k would be cosmic horror. Some things in Star Wars would be cosmic horrors. Heck, if you really wanted to, Bill Cipher or Discord could probably be cosmic horrors, but they are probably closer to psychological or body horror. I don’t even know if this is a category, but leviathan horror is pretty fun too. Just giant unbeatable monsters are fun.
Yeah, I just love myself some depression and having no chance of surviving :)
Want a good story with a cosmic horror? Ever read The Black Between the Stars, here on Fimfiction? Well, go read it!

Yeah I've seen those rare good argumentative Internet people. They're a rarity.
OH! okay I get you. I like those too, but they don't tend to scare me. I mean the Flood does, but body horror so.
