    March Blog: Well, February... Happened

I never did put up a February blog, breaking my streak... but given what I did post instead... I think it's understandable.

    Cry For Help

I've been cagey about what's been happening to me.

Part of that is an instinctive wariness of sharing personal info online. And yes, those of you who have worked with me through Paypal are free to note the irony, since y'all know my legal name but... you still get it.

January Blog: Technically It's Still January

So, I mentioned having a bad December?

    January was worse.

I'm going to be brief, because I have a lot of catching up to do, but I have some news.

December Blog: I Did Indeed Jinx Myself

December's not typically a good month for me.

It's been a very bad month, even for December, so far.

Bad enough that I'd rather talk about it once we're into January and I can do so with hindsight.

An Author First: Custom Cover for The World Shall Rise From Ashes · 2:52am Oct 6th, 2023

In between working on writing to make up for an unproductive August and September, stressing over my medication, and mentally bracing myself for Canadian Thanksgiving coming up this weekend, something delightful happened.

My covers have been a grab bag of screenshots, images taken from the comics, MLP fanart, and random art of other cool stuff. And for The World Shall Rise From Ashes, up until today, it was this artwork of a moonlit castle which I felt struck a good spooky, gothic vibe. But it'd been chosen with the understanding that it would be a temporary placeholder, because HumanUnitNotKilled wanted to commission some artwork for the story.

It took a bit to find an artist, and like all good things, it took time to get everything just right. And boy did they. But don't just take my word for it...

See for yourself.

If you'd like to commission the same artist, they've got an Etsy where you can contact them. HUNK has been telling me how great they are to work with, so I'm sure you'll have a great experience.

As for me... first cover that's art drawn just for the story. Hell of a milestone, and I can't stop smiling looking at Chrysalis's smug grin.

Have a grand time, all.

Cool, I tend to avoid stories that have a premise that grim. So I haven’t read it. But judging from your other work I’m sure it deserves a good cover.
