Should I Ret-Con Part of This?

So, I thought of this recently, but because the chapter was uploaded at least a year ago, I wasn't sure if I should ret-con it. Should Time Turner have known Spike was the Prince all along, even before the Twilight and the girls, as well as Lyra and Bonbon came into the picture? Part of why I think he should have known the whole time is because he served in the Royal Navy before retiring and becoming a pirate. Time Turner is an adult, Spike is like 19, so Time Turner would have served when Spike was still a young child. If you're part of the Royal Navy, it would be a bit odd if you didn't know who the Royal family is, wouldn't it? So in short, should I retcon the early chapters and make it so Time Turner knew Spike was the Prince of Equestria the whole time?

Make total sense. Although, him still "blaming" Spike for Zecora's tragic death ( Despite knowing he is insulting Celestia's own child. ) would be hard to read.

Well, even without him knowing the whole time, by the time he blames Spike for Zecora's death, all five of them knew he was the prince
