Wow. You have no idea how happy I am right now, guys. I am literally pinching myself to wake up as this just feels so unreal. My eyes are filled with tears of joy and I’m shaking with excitement. The fact that I’ve succeeded in getting justice for someone is just something I never thought I’d ever do. This is just…wow. This just feels me with so much joy and a feeling of euphoria that I didn’t even think was possible. But enough of me beating around the bush with cheesy sentimental statements. You came here to hear the good news, so let’s get on with it.
Fellow user Jaden Joynes, also known as the evil plagiarizer Sunset JJ, has been banned off of this site and their “stories” have all been purged along with him. Justice has been served and I couldn’t be happier. Honestly, I…I didn’t think anything would come of this and I’m just so proud of all of you who stood with me to help get justice for hardworking authors like you and I. This monumental achievement just feels so grand, like, we did something really huge. My goal has always been to uplift people in the fandom through my movement and the fact that we’ve taken our first big stride is just amazing. We’ve just sent a message to everyone in the fandom that if you mess with one of us, or even two of us, you mess with the whole herd. That monster is gone and integrity has won out.
So what happened? Well, a lot has gone down since our initial exposé blogs. Turns out, this guy had a lot more skeletons in his closet that he forgot to clean out and it all culminated in a thread, which I will link down below. I posted multiple threads bringing light to the situation, in which many people became aware of the situation. But we couldn’t really do anything to report him or take any action because I didn’t know he had an account on this site too. That was until fellow user Darth Severus helped us out by posting a thread of his own on the Positive Ponies group, which opened a huge can of worms for us to dig through. Allegations began pouring in and it became clear to me that this person has in fact stolen multiple stories off of the site, including a fic by author RainbowDoubleDash. Upon hearing what happened, I asked him to give me links to his evidence for a second report, to which he proceeded to do so. I then sent Eldorado more links proving the stories’ existences on JJ’s actual page, and this along with the thread of allegations, was enough to get him banned. I talked to both Wanderer D (per RDD’s request) and Eldorado about the situation. Honestly, if it wasn’t for Darth Severus helping us out on Positive Ponies, we might not have won. But we did and Eldorado came through as he always does. I can always trust him to be there for us and together, we’ve sent ripples throughout this community with the message that integrity will always come through in the end no matter what. We had an uphill battle, but we’ve made our presence known and gotten justice for not only littleman01 and RobtheMorpherPony, but countless others as well.
Hopefully this will encourage this person to post more original work, providing that he doesn’t get banned off of Fanfiction.net too. Now I suspect that the ban will be temporary and that he’ll come back to the site once his time in the calm down corner has ended. But honestly, it doesn’t phase me that he’ll come back. In fact, I want him to. Because I absolutely believe that he can learn and grow as a person from this if he wants to. He absolutely deserves a second chance and to be forgiven, but only after he’s had enough time to think about his actions.

We certainly dealt with something earth-shattering yesterday, but never let that stop you from writing. Because people like Sunset JJ don’t deserve to be praised off of your hard earned masterpieces, you do. And never forget that. I’m going back to work for real this time and let us hope that we can put this giant mess behind us and move forward together. Bye!

Thanks! I say we both made a huge difference in the community over these past few days. Despite all of the uncertainty, we persevered and that is something worth celebrating big time. With this outcome, I trust that people like JJ shall think twice in the future about doing something like this now that they know they’ll be caught. But it was not just me, it took all of us to bring this guy down. All of us should pat ourselves on the back for what we’ve accomplished. I don’t feel right taking the sole credit for everything as it really was a community effort.

Funny enough, another one of my favorite YouTubers in the commentary community is Optimus, so although you’re clearly referring to the Transformers character and not the YouTuber, all I can think of is that comparison. Yep. This did not age well at all. Well, at least we know now that he was malicious. I’m glad that justice got served, but it still doesn’t entirely feel right. I don’t know, I just hate it when people get banned, even though it had to be done. At least we got a definitive answer. I guess not everyone learns their lesson. A three time offender, shit. Thanks for letting me know. It does feel good to get closure, I guess.
