300 SUBSCRIBERS!!!!! + Overview Update On G5 Defense Video · 1:35pm Jul 20th, 2023
Holy cow, my channel blew up!! I didn’t expect my channel intro to get so much traction!! Currently, it sits at 1.7k views at the moment and that may not seem like a lot, but you know what? As someone who is just starting out on the field, I am more than willing to accept it. Especially when it’s managed to bring in this many new fans!! I honestly can’t believe this is real and it’s given me way more motivation to see this defense video to completion. I never expected to get 300 subscribers in one month and I’m insanely grateful to all of you who are excited to hear what I have to say. You won’t be disappointed, trust me.
What I currently have right now on my hard drive is a soon-to-be over three hour long mega-video that goes extremely in depth into G5 and taking apart every argument hating on it. I pulled out all the stops for this one and I think it’s going to be a game changer. It’s unlike anything I have ever done and I have devoted entire sections to all of the important G5 media. Key words here being important media as I unfortunately had to cut the section on ‘A Maretime Bay Adventure’ as it didn’t serve its purpose in the overall premise and there wasn’t really anything to defend. Likewise, all games will be left out as the fandom never really had a strong reaction to it and to try and just include a simple review just because I promised it feels counterproductive and like I’m padding out the runtime. In accordance with this, I’m currently editing the intro to remove that 3-second bit, so viewers don’t think that they’re getting an incomplete product.
You may think over three hours is too short for so much content, but that’s honestly because I’m also doing a Part 2 video that goes into depth on Make Your Mark Chapter 4 and how Tell Your Tale has improved, plus talking about the spread of misinformation and conspiracy theories as a result of the 2024 marketing slides leak, which will possibly be an hour long, I’m not quite done yet, though it’s looking to be officially finished in a couple of days. I’m on vacation in Europe right now until August 9th, but I took everything with me, so that I could finish the video abroad. I know, I’m doing work on vacation. But this was just way too important to just leave hanging. Here’s a quick rundown on what we have in Part 1, as well as what I plan to include in Part 2.

A Passionate Defense of My Little Pony: Generation 5 (Part 1) Brief Overview
1. A quick funny intro skit that basically rips on the fandom’s various reactions to G5
2. A longer second intro that sets the stage for the rest of the video (a small portion of it was revealed as a preview in my channel trailer)
3. A documentary-type section talking about the lead up to A New Generation and how a lot of fans were already preparing to hate on it before release due to the sypnosis and “activist lead” (this is intentionally included to make the viewer start to doubt the credibility of the majority of G5 hate)
4. Reaction and Commentary Session #1: Reacting to and debunking Firebrand’s review of A New Generation while offering up my own detailed commentary in response (edited down to avoid YouTuber copyright)
5. Reaction and Commentary Session #2: Reacting to and debunking Zaid Magenta’s review of A New Generation with detailed commentary (again, edited down to avoid YouTuber copyright)
6. A short Counterargument section where I state my thoughts on the review and what I think is wrong with it, while recapping my own commentary that I offered during the section.
7. A short overview of my thoughts on Make Your Mark Chapter 1 while setting the stage for the next R & C sessions.
8 (and 9). Reaction and Commentary Sessions #3 & #4: Reacting to and debunking Star Strike and MLP Fever’s reviews on Make Your Mark Chapter 1 with detailed commentary in response.
10. Another counterargument section (expect this for all of them)
11. A short overview of my thoughts on the G5 Discord Comic, while also setting the stage for the last R & C (got tired of doing it after having to sit through Zaid Magenta’s horrendous take as I discussed previously on another blog).
12. Reaction And Commentary Session #3: Reacting to and debunking Zaid Magenta’s horrible and distasteful review of the G5 Discord comic with detailed commentary in response.

An in-depth, passionate analytical review/defense of Make Your Mark Chapter 2 with detailed character analyses for each of the Mane 5 + commentary on the lessons and why they work, + additional defenses for each of the critiques this chapter gets from fans (this section ended up being about an hour long in itself, holy fuck).

An in-depth, passionate analytical review/defense of Winter Wishday with detailed character analysis for defending the way Sunny Starscout was portrayed, + a quick tangent on the way the special employs worldbuilding through implication with the different traditions (congragulations, BlueEM2, you got a shoutout)
15. A versus battle between Tell Your Tale and Pony Life, with two reasons being the main focus as to why the former works so well and the latter doesn’t (I’m talking about Tell Your Tale on a broader scale because if we analyzed each episode, we’d be here all week)
16. A short counterargument segment that basically acts as the precursor to the conclusion before pulling the rug out from under of the viewers to reveal that we’re not done yet (the conclusion was supposed to come right after the counterargument, but that final bit was added last minute just as of last week due to Chapter 4’s existence).
A Passionate Defense of My Little Pony: Generation 5 (Part 2) Brief Overview
1. A brief overview on what exactly I might’ve missed in the first part and why I think Tell Your Tale is incredible now.
2. An in-depth, passionate analytical review/defense of Make Your Mark Chapter 4 with detailed character analyses for each of the Mane 5 and especially Misty, an explanation as to why Opaline is a fantastic villain now, my theories on Skyros, commentary on the lessons and why they work, + additional defenses for each of the critiques this chapter gets from fans (this is looking to be another long one, but I’m not quite finished yet. I’m on “Missing The Mark” currently, which is where I’ll have the most to say)
3. A documentary-type section where I talk about the most recent developments and how the fans are going rampant with spreading misinformation on G5 ending, while debunking all of them with behind-the-scenes facts and basic logic.
4. The Epilogue, where I recap everything I have talked about throughout both parts, and ask the overarching question: “What’s there to hate?”
5. The obligatory YouTuber outro.
So that’s what’s going to be in it. Again, this is a brief overview, so you’ll still be surprised as to what exactly I have to say as the video itself is way more in depth than that. I think the most exciting thing about this project is how it’s not content to just be one style of video essay. Instead, it employs all the techniques and even has a little bit of a narrative (not spoiling it, but you’ll know once you see the short skits I sprinkled throughout). This is unlike anything I have ever done before in my life and I am excited to take the first step in our war against the hatedom.
I’m also currently planning something special for the release date of both parts, so stay tuned for an announcement of that. All I will say is: it’s got to do with Purpose and Redeemed, and when exactly they will release. See you all soon!

I mean you can't please everybody so always will be well and hate it but so much passion like mix master and unfortunately the one who I followed mis arthro pony aka Zaid but yeah that was a difference of reviewing and putting so much hate on it and it just got too much for me and people just taking way too personal
