Hello everyone! I hope this finds you well! Better than me, at the very least 
As some may know, I've taken a considerable time away from writing to manage family, financial, and medical concerns, but these last couple of weeks have come to a head for my own personal health. I know I don't have to, but I feel like I owe it to you all to inform you of what's happening. I will try to keep the information as sanitized as possible, but if you're squeamish I suggest you read with some caution.
As of now, I'm writing this blog in an ICU. I was admitted to the hospital with severe pain in my jaw and neck, and transported to a specialist where it was determined after CAT scan that I had two large growths in those regions.
I was taken in for surgery, where not only those growths were removed, but also most of my teeth on the left side of my mouth, up to my canines. The pressure those growths caused on the nerves and surrounding tissues killed most of the blood flow to that region and killed those teeth, so they were removed to prevent potential further issues.
I was then intubated and placed under observation in the ICU while the growths were taken for biopsy. Thankfully, they were non-cancerous growths. However, they had grown so large and infected so rapidly that the surgeons also had insert additional equipment in my neck to allow it to drain.
Shortly after waking I had to perform several tests, which I thankfully passed which allowed me to have the tube removed, and shortly after, my nose tubes, then O2. I'm still under monitoring at the ICU while I undergo additional antibiotic treatment, and must have my neck drained and cleaned until it's clear that no other growths are forming.
In short, life took me to a batting range and all their machines threw curveballs. It's somewhat difficult to type this on my phone, whith the ports and missing my contacts and all, but I felt it was only right to let you all know what’s been happening and why I've been absent.
I had planned on resuming writing back in April, but of course that didn't really work out either... I apologize to those who expected more and didn't receive it. I hope you can forgive me for my absence and unintentional dishonesty when it comes to promises made. I will do my very best to be better in the future.
As of now, I'm scheduled to remain here for the next several days until my condition improves the hospital is confident that no other growths are forthcoming.
I want to thank you all again for your patience and understanding. We humans are fragile and imperfect, and I'm no better. But I'll always try to do my best for those who need me. And for those of you who may have needed me or my meger writings, I apologize for letting you down.
I suppose that's enough ill tidings for one day, so I'll take my leave to rest and recover. This has been a learning, and humbling experience for me, but everyone involved has been absolutely wonderful and I cannot thank the staff at the hospital enough for taking their time with me and being absolute angels.
One last note before I go: Hospital food. Really not all that bad. Go figure! 
You don’t owned us anything. This is a hobby and hobby mean you have fun doing it, not obligated by others.
Take care of yourself first, then your family.
Only when you’re sure everything all okay, only then you consider resuming your writing.
Or just stress writing if that is your thing.

Oof. Having tubes in ya and then having them removed is the kind of feeling I never want to revisit. If there was ever an involuntary, worming sensation, it'd be that. Also, feels like hospital food has definitely improved. I remember going often for my dad, and always being surprised.
Here's to your recovery! And hoping you stay well too. Life has definitely been on the rough side. Always here for ya for when you make a comeback. (Now I just have to make one of my own too, haha.)

Damn kid that's rough. That you have taken time to tell us this in spite of your pain and stress says more about you than any words. Take whatever time is needed to regain your strength and don't worry about the story it's not going away if you don't keep to some schedule that someone else thinks you must keep. Your health and well-being are more important. Take care of yourself and know that there are a lot of us out here Pulling for you.

No need to apologize. Having your priorities straight is more important, and your well-being is more consequential than a promise to a bunch of strangers to do something that's neither an obligation or responsibility. Here's wishing that your situation improves and nothing else like this happens again for as long as possible, which I hope is never.

What an unpleasant surprise this body has given you. You're lucky it's not cancer. Health is the most important thing, you have to work on it. Don't worry and get treatment, history can wait. I hope your insurance covers your prosthetics.
*sighs*
Once again, I'm reminded of how fragile people are. And how much further we have to go to biological or synthetic ascension.
