Lovely little life update for yall · 11:56pm May 24th, 2023
Hey guys, hope everything is good over here while I've been vacationing on AO3 for the last week!
I seem to have been caught up in the whirlwind of, you guessed it, Miraculous fanfics. I found another fantastic one a few days ago, literally after finishing Back To Us, and started reading.
Now that story itself was 446k words, a damn big figure to say the least. This next one... Just under half of that, at 198k words.
Did I know I could read 198k words in only three days, while dealing with exam stresses? Certainly not until now. The total words I've read in the last week is 644,000, how crazy is that!
So, what's this about exam stresses? Well, as my previous blogs have hinted at, it's exam season and I've been deliberately taking a break from FimFiction to cope with it. BUT, I have some good news in that regard...
I've already completed half of them. Two down, two to go.
And the best bit? The next one actually isn't until early June! That's partially why I've been so indulged in reading, it's a good stress killer in my downtime and it's much better than writing.
And the fact that these first two exams are for the subject I've been getting top marks in, so now the easy part is over. Essentially, I've got time to kill for a few days until I need to get back into the swing of revising for these final two tests, which means I'll have some time to potentially write a little bit of The Horizon Adventures.
Anything to take my mind off the stress, xD
If not, don't worry, exam crap will be done by mid-June, and then I'm positively throwing myself into finishing the story, and that other one I'm still working on too.
In fact, I'd say that reading all these Miraculous-words has helped with a little bit of perspective on where I could go next, so take that as a positive from sitting in bed reading superhero fics at two in the morning!
It's 1am now, so I feel like a quick browse of AO3 for another potential long-worded fic is in order, if I can't find anything I'll give THA a dig. Catch you guys soon!
