Hope you like the board game Clue (or Cluedo, as we call it over here) because that's what ya getting in this chapter.
I wanted to take a break from the gloom and doom in the recent chapters, and just have a chapter or two where Meteorite is just herself. No inner monologue snippiness, no bouts of depression, just... having a good time with her friends.
...which is weird considering she's not the focal character in this chapter.
It may not make a whole lot of sense, considering the encasing premise is Meteorite telling Rarity all of this, but I hope I've set up enough foundation in earlier chapters to show that what we get and what Meteorite tells Rarity are not exactly a 1:1 narrative, with her mentally editing the story as she goes along.
Frankly, I can't imagine Meteorite going, 'So, let me tell you about this board game session we had six years ago'.
...well, I mean, she might, if she desperately wanted Rarity to play a game of Clue with her.
This update was a really fun read!! I love seeing little slices of life and bits of chemistry like that, this was delightful!!
