Annnd Act 2 officially finished! Honestly, I'm so pleased I've made it this far. I've never thought I'd actually get around to putting these ideas down on paper (well, computer screen, I guess) so not only getting to this point, but looking further ahead and thinking to myself, 'yeah, I can totally get there in due time' is so invigorating.
I really like this interlude. Aside from wrapping up the previous chapter, I just... really like Meteorite finally feeling comfortable enough to be herself around the main ponies. Sure, she still has a few hangups and difficulties to sort through, but... she's trying.
Spoilering just in case, though somewhat ironic given the nature of the topic: I felt I needed to fully address that, no, Steel's hasn't left for good, because well, as Rarity points out, he's still here in Ponyville. Not only does he get referenced to in earlier interludes, but he was around at the end of A Second Chance. It's... kinda hard to pretend that he's not coming back. Sorry if you felt it slightly spoilerish though.
Also, I get to fully dive down into Pinkie just being Pinkie. She's my second favourite of the main cast (no guesses as to who's first), and I like Meteorite eventually coming around to her antics, quietly and readily agreeing to play the part of Pinkie's straight pony because —let's face it— nopony's out-comedianing Pinkie. 
(also I totally got the idea for Pinkie to have Meteorite's party file from one of Bicyclette's comments on A Second Chance)
