Calling all artists (Important, please read)

Does everyone remember Filly Amongst Dragons the story that was heavily inspired by the works of Tatsurou? I bet many of you do, seeing how I'm still getting favorites on it even though the story on it has been finished for a while now.

Seeing how many people have liked that story, and with the recent release of the Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection, I figured it was now or never to actually make another Tatsurou style story. My favorite of all of Tatsurou's various stories has to be the Classic Mega Man and Mega Man X crossover stories featuring Vinyl Scratch during the Classic Mega Man series, and Octavia during the Mega Man X series; including a way to not only make Command Mission cannon, but also nip any possibility of the Mega Man Zero series in the bud as well as somewhat including a few elements from the ZX duology.

There have been times that I've been wanting to do something similar, by having the Battle Network Series focus on Lan, MegaMan.Exe, and a pony with a Navi OC while the Star Force Trilogy would focus on Geo, Mega, and another pony with an Alien OC before having those ponies meet back up in Equestria through the modified events of Operate Shooting Star.

So what if that's just weird to do? Tatsurou was not above creating a stand-alone three parter story to get Octavia and Vinyl back to equestria which was implied to end with the now romanced musicians taking over Equestria because why the hell not?

The main reason why I'm making this blog post out on a whim and announcing this a whole three months ahead of when I plan to actually create this massive project, is because I would like to see if anyone would be interested in possibly creating some fan-art to potentially be used as cover art for the three stories.

Now, first off, to let you know, the two ponies I have in mind are Octovia and Vinyl. It may not be that original, and I may look like I'm just copying Tatsurou's work here, but like I pointed out, Tatsurou put Vinyl in the "past" portion, while putting Octavia in the "future" portion which would translate to Classic Mega Man and Mega Man X respectively.

Well, I plan to reverse this. Yep. I am going to have Octavia be in the Battle Network series while Vinyl will be in the Star Force Trilogy. Now admittedly, I thought about potentially not giving Octavia a Navi OC and instead give her Splash Woman just because I could, but then I realized that Splash Woman would be of the Aqua element, and the whole point of the Double Soul system in the second half of Mega Man Battle Network games is for Mega Man to temporary take on specific elements. And before anyone points it out, yes I know the Double Soul system was replaced with the Cross Match System in Battle Network 6; the Cross Match System is just the logical extension of the Double Soul system anyways.

Regardless, I decided to pair Octavia up with my Navi OC known as Vilkus.EXE. He's a type-less Navi with that wears gray armor pieces over his body; and is unable to be flinched; which is a nice way of saying, he basically automatically has Super Armor. I know that may seem a little broken, but all Super Armor does is prevent you from flinching. It literally does nothing else for you outside of allowing for easier S ranks against the Omega ghost navis which I wouldn't be including because you do have to go out of your way to battle any ghost navis.

That being said, I will be including the post-games of both Star Force 2 & Star Force 3 since those post games have actual plot to them. Without his armor, Vilkus is meant to be a direct copy of Mega Man, only really a cheep knock-off version. It's why Vilkus has his gray armor in the first place as he was originally known as CopyMega.EXE which was meant to be a mass produced version of MegaMan.EXE that Lan's dad created. However, the only successful version of CopyMega.EXE ended up quickly gathering armor to make himself appear less generic, so the CopyMega.EXE project was scrapped, and the successful version of CopyMega.EXE was renamed Vilkus.EXE

As for the Alien OC, I decided to create a rogue FM-ian known as Scorpio who when merged with Vinyl would create Stingray.

...What? I know it's not the most creative name out there, but Lyra and Sonia Strum get to wave change into Harp Note, which isn't that imaginative at all. So if Capcom can be unimaginative with their boss names, so can I. Sure, most of the boss names in the Starforce series are straight forward, but Harp Note is the outlier here and thus, she stands out more. This may be because of the various bosses and enemies thought throughout the Star Force Trilogy, Harp Note is the only boss from the first game that tends to be on the side of Earth rather than the villains after her defeat against Geo & Omega-xis with only one notable exception.

So yeah, making Scorpio morph into Stingray when merged with Vinyl considering Scorpio would be another FM-ian that turns on his own people isn't that farfetched considering the only cannon FM-ian that turns on planet FM ALSO gets a merge name unrelated to their alien name. It's like it's tradition for FM-ians who turn on their own planet get a merge name that is unrelated to their actual name. Sure, Virgo and Corvas are exceptions to this rule, but it seems they were criminals from the start and were banished. So their planet betrayed them, instead of the other way around; hence why they seem to have merge names that are related to their actual alien name which are Queen Virgo and Jack Corvas.

But for the actually known traitor Lyra, her merge name with Sonia is Harp Note, and she ends up siding with Geo & Omega-xis, so why not let Scorpia get special name treatment too for the exact same reason? I am open for better ideas then Stingray, but good luck with that.

Scorpio in particular looks just like a Scorpion, however his legs are all made of energy, and his scorpion tail is also connected to the main body by energy. Also, similar to how Omega-xis has a more armored look, Scorpio also has an armored look.

I bring these descriptions of Vilkus and Scorpio up because I am hoping that some of you might be willing to make fan-art of them, either with their partners, or in the case of Scorpia, merged with Vinyl. If you include Octavia & Vilkus with Lan & Mega Man in the case of the Battle Network series, or you include Vinyl, Scorpio, or their merged form (feel free to make your own interpertation on that) with Geo, Omega-xis, or their merged form of Mega Man, then your art might just become the cover art for their respective portions of this massive Battle Network & Star Force project I want to work on in three months time.
