Plans for the next 2 chapters. · 9:29am Apr 4th, 2023
So the next two chapters in the story are already planned.
The next chapter will be an Interlude. It will take place from the POV of a Royal Guard at the Everfree castle, who will have a front row view of the events there. I know a lot of people are very excited for a Celestia POV, but I believe that a certain level of ambiguity regarding her motivations are required for what I have planned later in the story.
Staff of the castle will begin to become concerned about Luna’s absence, but it won't be full panic stations quite yet.
I'm just writing this to manage people's expectations. The Everfree story arc will be on a bit of a slower boil and the very first Interlude probably won't be as spicy as a lot of people were hoping.
The chapter after that will be Luna's journey through the wilderness to reach her first town. It will be a lot of Luna's thoughts and feelings over her decision in chapter 7. I'll also use it as an opportunity to tie up some loose ends from the previous arc and It'll give us an a chance to explore some of the functions of the caravan. It'll be pretty low key. A bit of a palate cleanser from the high intensity stuff that we have had so far, before we dive into the next story arc.
Sounds fair, to be honest I'm surprised it's taken as long as it has to get the ball rolling as it were but that's not to say it's bad at all.
I actually just found this story not even 90 minutes ago and to hear you're planned ahead already is wonderful news. I look forward to it.
I figure, if you will just push story forward, already hooked up public will be satisfied anyway. If there will be even a smidgen of same effort (and of course there will be), everything should be fine
So far, so good. Luna needed time to accept the situation and finally released some pent-up anger. Now she can finally discover who she is without her shining sister—also looking forward to the other ponies' reactions to her absence. I can see all kinds of issues without the dream guardian.
This can become an international issue as other races are plagued with nightmares. The zebras may develop a potion for dreamless sleep. Still, it will not resolve the problems stemming from a lack of refreshing/ deep sleep (sleep deprivation - Inability to concentrate, memory issues, lack of energy or creativity, etc...) I can picture the plethora of grumpy ambassadors banging down the palace doors.
The story looks really good so far. I can with what everyone says pretty much. I do find interesting how Luna will deal with her alicorn appearance and the fact that strong magical energy would probably attract a lot of attention to her, especially once its discover that she is missing.
