C&C update, no April Foolin'... · 7:34pm Apr 3rd, 2023
Just because that for all my writing talents, I’m not that good with humor. I once asked the great Denim_Blue if he might be willing to do a gag chapter of Firefly in the style of his Art of Warmance parody play (it was in one of his Gentleman for Mares stories) as an April Fool’s prank, and at the time he had some interest. But in hindsight, he was already on his way out of the fandom at that point, and nothing came of it. Oh, well.
You’re still missed, Denim. 
Just wanted to let folks know that I have managed some progress on C&C again, though as it’s already at 10.3k words with no end in sight, there’s a chance that this will once more have to be split up to hit everything I want to properly. It’s going to be both a clop-and-combat chapter as you’ll get to see past battles through different eyes, including actions that Gilda was not witness to previously, like the climactic attack on Bale that involved adult dragons after she and Fortrakt had departed.
That particular one will be seen through Giraldi’s memories. You’ll also get to see the attacks on Aricia through Cipio’s eyes and understand everything he’s been dealing with, which I actually hope will result in a bit more reader sympathy for him. Of course, the way these memory replays work is that you’re not just seeing, you’re hearing/smelling/feeling/experiencing what the others did, including pain and pleasure. So that’s going to allow for some sexy moments as Gilda’s memories get replayed and include certain events. But she’s not the only one...
If you’re wondering why she’s participating in this when it would probably be best for her not to, let’s just say that Cipio traps her. If it gets too long, I’ll cut off the trailing sex scene again, which will still leave plenty of secondhand experiences to enjoy. Either way, this will be another instance of a dual-chapter release, one M-rated and one T-rated.
As for when it will be ready, I can’t say. I’m trying to put about 1,000 words on it a day right now, which seems to be all I want to do at the moment. My muse is just not here right now. Where is it, then? I’m honestly not sure. And until I am, might as well just keep pecking away at C&C.
Bonus: as tonight is the final night of the college basketball season with the NCAA Tournament Championship game, here’s what Marco would be as a basketball player:
That’s Kihei Clark, 5th year point guard for Virginia. And by coincidence, he’s a 5’9” half-Filipino who is a total fucking pest and incredibly annoying to play against, able to dish out assists and grab steals in equal measure. Marco would probably love him for that reason.
O crap, i though first we dodging a bullet with Giraldi.

Guess we can be hyped for a lot of action next 1-2 chapter.
