The Finale to Knight of Order; Finding a stopping point. · 3:53am Mar 1st, 2023
After a lot of consideration, I've made the decision for the next chapter to Knight of Order be its last. So I'll be taking it out of Haitus cryo so I can finish it once and for all.
My crossover with Pokemon ended up being a very complex web of unique mechanics and details alluding to a bigger mystery than just Arceus himself. With the central theme of the story being sacrifice, and it being Emile's biggest internal conflict, the story so far has, little by little, torn down Emile's regrets. Saving his Eevee, learning that his world was saved, and accepting that dealing with Arceus isn't his responsibility alone are just a few ways in which Emile has been letting go of that troubling personality trait.
From here on, I'll talk about the next chapter and why this is my decision.
The final chapter will be answering the last pending question/internal conflict of his. I left chapter 8 on a high note towards figuring out what that is. It will also shed light on the mystery surrounding the events that brought him to Equestria.
So getting a conclusion there will probably be for the best, as Knight of Order's story will be far too massive to contain in a single book. The next part of this journey requires an entire shift in themes, and thus why a second book will have to be made for it. It will help facilitate the necessary time skip better too.
Makes sense I suppose
