A milestone for Feathered Hearts - Eros... and a possible future story arc

Eros just picked up its 150th like! Well, I wasn’t planning to update it quickly, but as a thank-you to readers for getting it to that point (even if it backtracks), I think I should write a new chapter.

So I’m officially announcing that Eros will be second on my writing to-do list after the next chapter of Unleash the Magic - Midnight Rising, which I urge you to check out if you haven’t already for a series of absolutely insane griffon chapters involving the whole of the Griffon Kingdom’s capital of Arnau.

As for this story, with the next chapter, we’ll be nearing the end of the Midway movie and the A Night to Remember story arc. I think there are two chapters remaining of it. I do have some standalone chapters planned (like Lieutenant Nantz x Merlina Marcus or showing what happened with Sergeant Reyes and the eagless who all but attacked him), but I’ve also been batting around an idea for a second major Eros story arc that would take place in the background of the main story during their stay in Aricia.

As for what it is, I’m still turning it over in my head, but it would basically be describing various encounters among the Changelings, humans and griffons. The drones and their Queen need love to replenish their energy, especially after battles, and putting them in close quarters with humans and griffons alike is a recipe for getting it. It means various new forms of shenanigans would be possible involving things like shapeshifting and even characters like Gabby (who will have a bigger role in the main story soon), the ibex, or even the two griffon mothers they rescued from Bale.

Our main crew wouldn’t be neglected either, as they rediscover each other and remember things about the night of the cider over time, including Giraldi rediscovering his interest in human guys and finding a kindred spirit in one of the Changelings. Hell, more movie watching could even factor in as it turns out that Marco’s laptop is surprisingly close by.

All this won’t happen right away, as I need to finish off the first major story arc before I can even begin to consider a second one. But I figured I’d at least run this by you folks and ask if it’s something you’d like to see happen later. So whether your opinions on the matter are yay or nay, feel free to sound off in the comments below. And in the meantime, I promise I will do my best to have a new Eros chapter out by mid-March.
