Choosing Iron Maiden songs that fit my friends · 11:45pm Dec 1st, 2022
I’m bored.
So, I’m gonna start with Bezier. Honestly, this is kinda hard, but I went with The Educated Fool
This song is about having the skills to do something and the want to do something, yet not exactly knowing what to do or how to use said skills.
Next, Griff. Now, there are two possible songs. I’ll share the main one first, and the other later. For the main one, I chose Man on the Edge
This song is based on a movie called “Falling Down”, in which a man gets annoyed by every minute detailed, but over time the minute details get more… personal. He’s struggling with problems with his wife and his daughter, and eventually he goes on a murder spree (I don’t remember the entire plot, and I don’t wanna spoil the ending. But yeah, it’s like the Joker once said. Everyone’s one bad day from going insane.
Next up, Ired. Now, like Bez, this one was hard. I went with These Colours Don’t Run.
This song is simply about patriotism to one’s country. I uh… I couldn’t really think of anything else creative.
Finally, Mels. It was quite easy, I went with For the Greater Good of God
Now, despite the name, the song is about the idea that religion isn’t exactly… a good thing. Or at least, it’s initial idea has been very twisted. It questions why humanity follows a religion that says things like “thou shall not kill” when we’ve constantly killed each other over words in a book. So yeah.
Now, I know I teased a little song. I think Griff and Ired share it. Wasting Love
Yeah, we’re ending on a sad note. Fuck you. Idk, I think it fits you two. At least from what I’ve observed.
This is honestly a huge mood.
Ooh, I like my song!
They really don't make metal like they used to. Makes you feel like you were born too late, doesn't it?

Honestly yea
Don’t get me wrong, I like both old and new stuff
But there’s something about old metal that new metal just doesn’t have

Aye. That something is called "authenticity".
