Well try not to spoil anything when you do. I'm taking my time with the game, and am still on Ares Island. And the lore so far has been pretty fascinating. If Sonic Unleashed was an indication, the Chaos Emeralds must have touched a lot of different civilizations, past and present, in the world in different ways, and I'm curious about how they impacted this one. And damn, Knuckles actually said something smart in one of the earlier cutscenes? You don't normally get that in the games.
You haven't finished Sonic Frontiers yet? I finished it in almost 2 days. 😁 I'm currently playing it again on my recently purchased PS5 in 60fps. And it is impressive.

Having the true final boss be a bullet hell segment? They ripped it right from the end of Ikaruga. The exact same fight.

That's easy when the Steam system is just thumbs up/down.
I'd absolutely give it a thumbs up, but I will always acknowledge flaws, especially glaring ones.
The explanation of some of the lore was nice, but having the final fight be against an unknowable cosmic horror sours it a fair bit, personally.
Sorry for the spoilers, but a frequent reader of mine is still making their way through the game.

Hey, no apology needed. Like I said, I finished the game in under 2 days. And you're right. The final boss fight was a letdown. But the other boss fights, especially the first one, was epic!

I have touched very few of the 3D Sonic games in the past decade, mainly due to the platforms they were on.
Colors, Generations, Unleashed, Forces, and Frontiers.

To my memory, the only Sonic games I haven't touched upon are the ones on the handheld consoles, excluding the Switch that I own. From Sonic Advance up to the two Sonic Boom spinoff games.
